Description: Elevation 5800 feet. The museum tells the story of the miners Brigham Young sent to mine iron here in the 1850s, hoping to boost the early economic development of the territory and to ensure the independence of the Latter Day Saints. Featured here are authentic horse-drawn vehicles as well as Indian and pioneer artifacts. Hiking, mountain bike, and OHV trails nearby. Location: City limits of Cedar City.
