This is a photographer's dream. Loved the garden and easy access to drive to, no hiking!

Beautiful hike! We got there at 8:30am and the parking lot was almost full so I highly recommend getting there early- happy we did because the trail was heavily trafficked on our way back. Trail was well kept and had a guide of interesting things to follow along the way. Absolutely gorgeous waterfall with enough space to lounge at the celebrate the end of the hike. Could not recommend more for everyone!

We enjoyed this route on 5/15. Fairly easy, cool in the narrows. We took the route south to north which seemed like it was probably easier than the other way around. Nothing too fancy.

Gorgeous hike. Made it up to T intersection. Drive is tough, but was doable in Camry. I saw other sedans as well. So don`t be scared off and do it as long as the weather is good and you drive carefully.

Phenomenal hike. Fairly easy and the scenery leading up to the falls is beautiful! Not to mention the falls were stunning.. Bring plenty of water and good trail snacks and you're set. Possibly a swimsuit if you're feeling up for a swim in the water under the falls.

I only had time to do this or peek-a-boo and spooky slot canyons. This sure was a beautiful hike.

I rate this five stars for its ease of accessibility and beauty. There are not many areas where you can pull off the road and immediately be swept up in a hiking wonderland.

The drive on BLM200 is a little rutted but not so bad that our car, “Pepe the Prius” couldn’t make it.

Great for afternoon picnics or a quick place to just enjoy the splendor and enchantment of an unusual destination.

Easy parking and bathrooms onsite.

Hike, enjoy, relax and discover. Lots of fun for all ages.

Absolutely a must do hike in the area. The views are majestic, the trail isn't hard, and the waterfall at the end is absolutely gorgeous. Lots of caterpillars hanging from the trees on the hike in the spring, just as a fair warning if you don't like bugs. Not very much shade until the last mile of the hike.

Great slot Canyon with very few people. It took us 4 1/2 hours at a slow pace.

This was an add-on hike while also doing the Panorama Trail and nearby Grand Escalante. We spent ~2 hours hiking up the river through the slot canyons, which were cool to see. Water level was very low. We spent more time avoiding horse poop along the river than worrying about getting our feet wet. I wouldn't call this a destination unto itself, but the canyons are well worth a few hours of your time. Note: the road to the trailhead is unpaved and somewhat long (~8 miles). We were glad we had an SUV with good ground clearance.

My roommate and I tackled this trek on a beautifully sunny afternoon last week after completing Peekaboo Loop in Bryce Canyon National Park earlier in the day.

I did this trail in my Teva sandals and they were the perfect choice to trek through the sandiness of this trek. It took us about 2 and 1/2 hours to complete the trail in its entirety and we even stopped at the pool for a quick dip (it was incredibly cold, but well worth it), before heading back out to the trailhead.

A beautiful waterfall awaits you at the climax of this hike, but would recommend doing this one in late morning so the sun is shining down upon the pool, that is, if you're looking to go for a swim.

Highly recommended!

Very different scenery here. Fairly easy trail, except for one short portion that I didn't like as I do not like narrow paths near drop offs of any kind. Other than that, it was easy. Looks like you are on another planet.

Beautiful Hike and definitely recommend it. Could be really hot in the Summer but perfect for Spring and Fall. Fairly easy trek but the trail is all sand.

Unique story with the brothers carving out and living in the caves. Fun little detour when hiking the more challenging hikes in the ares.

Nice drive from Escalante to Boulder. Takes you into the higher elevation timber, and then to the canyon w/bridge overlook. Overlook was fun. It was just a nice diversion to driving up and down 12 hiway.

Easy hike, graineries easy to locate, just look up a little. Remarkable example of the Fremont culture.

Short hike, but big dividend in seeing the three sets of petroglyphs.

The hike contains a lot of interesting features, one of the best is a side canyon about a half of a mile from the south entrance, it dead ends with a long narrow ramp of white side that you can climb.
We hiked this from the south to the north and found the exit point show in the app to be very confusing, it leads you to a nearly vehicle cliff. The normal, easy exit is just a few hundred yards before the one show here. Overall a great hike with fun narrows.

Fun for the family!

Loved this hike! It was relatively easy just long. We went in April and started around 11am next time I’d like to start earlier before it heats up. Middle of summer would be way to hot! There was quite a few people on the trail but not as many as expected. My dogs loved swimming in the falls... we did see LOTS of snakes on this trail.

This was a pleasant surprise winner of a hike after spending some time in Bryce. The trailhead was less than a half hour from the town of Tropic, and the roadway in only had two patches that were a challenge with water on the road. The slot canyon creek was very low, so easy to hike without waterproof boots, but the evidence of the creek being higher at times was obvious, so be sure to check for rain/flash flooding in the area. We hiked out to the point at which the trail comes to a “T”, but most of the narrow slot portions were within the first mile and a half of the hike if you don’t want to put in the 7 or 8 miles. We did see some wildlife tracks throughout the canyon, so keep your eyes open and hike with a friend. Also, be sure to sign the book at the trailhead!

Such a beautiful hike with awesome stops to check out along the way (make sure to grab an info map at the register box at the trailhead!) Also, very conveniently, there is a water fountain at the trailhead to fill up water bottles and camelbacks. The waterfall was still a bit too cold to get in but great to cool off your feet before heading back. Very much worth the drive and hike!

Petroglyphs were great! Steep climb at the start but easy hike. Three sets of petroglyphs! Jackie

Trail was a bit more up and down, especially at the end, than we expected. It was almost easier to walk in the creek bed than the trail in most spots. Once we got to the top, it was terrific. You could spend a few hours exploring all over, not just the toadstools. Oh, we are 71 and 68 years old too.

Worth the hike. A post card water fall.

such amazing history! pretty steep climb but worth it for sure.

We really enjoyed this hike. Easy to follow trail and easy to medium hike. Part of the trail was shaded but mostly exposed to the elements. As you approach the waterfall you can catch a glimpse of it from a distance, it’s a beautiful contrast from the desert landscape to an oasis where the waterfall sat. Once you get there, it is much cooler in temperature and lots of trees to sit under and have a picnic as you enjoy the view of the waterfall. The water was very very cold, but it was still fun trying to see how long you can stand in it the pool of water. Go early because this is a busy hike and lots of people visit it during this time of the year (spring break). When we got to the waterfall it was just us and two other couples and then after ten minutes we were surrounded by five to six families with 3-5 kids each. So the tranquility of it went away fast, LOL Regardless, it was it was a great hike. Enjoy!
