Fun, quick hike. Very few people.

Great hike; well worth the travel from SLC! I definitely recommend doing the entire loop.

One of my favorite all time hikes. Don't listen to the crowds...do the full loop. It's worth it unless you are only interested in slot canyons. According to the Garmin, the hike was actually 9.68 miles.

This is such a fun loop. The back stretch that connects the 2 slot canyons is pretty exposed and gains some elevation so be prepared for that. We went up bell canyon and down little wild horse, bell canyon is a lot less popular so we didn’t see anyone in that canyon. Little wild horse was a lot busier and packed with people. Both of the slot canyons were less technical than crack canyon which we did the day before. We brought our dog and she had a much easier time doing the loop. There was no water anywhere along the loop, so you don’t have to wade through any, but you also have to bring enough to stay hydrated. Lots of great spots to stop and have lunch, really an amazing hike with gorgeous rock formations.

Really cool hike. We brought our 45 lb dog and had to lift her down a few spots, but it wasn’t bad. There wasn’t any water on the hike, so that was a plus (that we didn’t have to wade at all) but make sure to bring enough water to last you. Moderately technical, and there is a good amount of shade throughout the hike. The views and the rock formations are spectacular. Would definitely do again.

So cool! This was my first slot canyon hike. Wow- loved it! Just went up Little Wild Horse until it opened out, and then turned around and came back (I was limited on time, and also just didn't want to do 3 miles in the sun).

Do the full loop. Clockwise. Just note there’s about 3 miles in between the slot canyons. Little to no shade during that stretch. It’s nice scenery and I think it’s cool to see the little wild horse slots as well as bell canyon slots. Took me 4.5 hours, but I stop a lot to take pictures.

certainly the slottiest of canyons we've every travelled. We went clockwise, up Bell and down Wild Horse, so that the gradient was more forgiving.

I love the canyon parts and the rocks...I hate the gravelly stretch through Bell Canyon though. Its hot and moderately boring. But I guess that's kind of how life is.

One of my favorite hikes! Very cool scenery and also very interesting because of the different paths and rock formations along the way. Definitely recommendable!

This trail is really cool. Its an 8 mile loop, so when you get to the fork, you can go either way and you will get back to the beginning. We took the left (bell canyon). In this start there are some open areas and a few shallow slots, but it eventually opens up into this nice viewing area, and you will know that you are half way. The second half is the narrow slots (wild horse). Don't choose Bell first if there is chance of rain because this leaves the slots for the ending. If you go right to Wild horse, the majority of the slot canyons are in the beginning. There is some shade on this hike, but be prepared for the sun if there is no cloud cover, bring sunblock and lots of water. Overall, very cool hike. Be prepared to scramble and move around some rocks.

This hike held endless interests for my hiking buddies and I: lizards, mini ecosystems in the canyons, very interesting rocks and rock formations! This was a very satisfying hike that took us about 4 hours. Some people were hiking with their dogs but I wouldn't recommend it because there were sections that required a bit of scrambling over some boulders. We began the hike at daybreak and took Bell canyon first so that we could hike the mesa section sooner rather than later to avoid a hotter sun. I would reccomend taking the Bell canyon section of the loop because the Little Wild Horse section was the best way to finish a hike!

Loved this hike! We went through the canyon on the right and the slot canyon was amazing, I loved how long it actually lasted. Then we got out to the desert area, at which point I took the carrier with our 1.5 year old, and boy was it challenging getting through the desert part. We looped into the next canyon, which was really cool, but not quite as cool as the first. Our app said we did closer to 11 miles, I believe. It was a long, but amazing hike! I would do it again!

Nice trail, we started off around 9 and had it to ourselves most the day. Bell canyon side got sunny and hot on the way in but a nice breeze kept us cool. A bit more strenuous than I thought it would be but if you’re up for a adventure this is a great hike.

We completed this hike in 4 hours. We went through Little Wild Horse first. beautiful and fun! Hiked with our dogs. Glad we did it all but next time we will stick to in and out through Little Wild Horse and bypass Bell Canyon. We started about 9:30a and there was no shade after coming through the slots. Our dogs were laying under any sliver of shade they could find. bring lots of fluid to stay hydrated.

Just completed this trail last week with the family and two dogs. Would not reccomend bringing dogs on the hike. There are several areas where you have to climb down rocks. Easy to do, even with children, but a different story with 90 lbs. dogs. We did this hike as an overnight combined with Chute Canyon. The trail on the backside that connects the two canyons is not very visable. It will take some navigational skills. I used a GPS, but i was even questioning the accuracy of it at times. I did find a sign at the end of Crack Canyon that pointed in somewhat of the general direction and said "Chute Canyon 2 miles". It is actually around 3 miles, so don't get discouraged or think you missed it. Absolutely no water on the hike in June, so leave the water filter and just pack plenty of water. Absolutely loved both Canyons, but Crack was my favorite.

Beautiful canyon walls, easy but rewarding hike. Several good camping spots within the first two miles of the hike. Didn't see another soul on the trail.

Always a fun trail, great scenery. Been doing this hike for 30 years and even though it’s gotten popular, you can still catch the right time to enjoy some solitude.

Agreed! This trail is actually around 8 miles so don’t let the 11miles on this app scare you off. This is a great trail that is a must do! We did the loop starting in bell canyon and looping to little wild horse. In the back heading to little wild horse is about 1.5 miles of atv trails you follow and is up hill. We got there early and only saw a couple people in bell canyon. Once we got to little wild horse we started to see more people. If you do loop start early and start in little wild horse. Did hike with wife, 8 year old, 2.5 month Yorkie and 9 month old heeler. Great Hike!

Trail is actually 8 miles, not 11. Pretty nice hike, specially the wild horse part.

We started on the Bell Canyon side (left at the fork) but if it’s just spot canyons you’re looking for the Little Wild Horse side is WAY better and a lot of the people we encountered on the way back were just doing an out-and-back trail through the slots. Honestly if I were to go back I’d probably do the same!

Only maybe a mile of slots on the little wild horse entrance. Trail offers fair shade, and a variety of terrain that is very fun! Took us about 4 hours to do the whole loop. The trail is very easy but does require navigating larger rocks.

First to the trailhead on Memorial Day weekend. Went out 6 miles and had it all to myself. On the way back it was crawling with kids and dad’s carrying 7 liters of water and trekking poles. Sheesh. Early ya go the less wet your feet will get. There are multiple rope sections.

Everything you want from a day in the Utah desert.

Did the loop today. Little Wildhorse then Bell. Rained on us at top but hardly wet the ground. The black clouds did cause us some worry so we hustled the last bit. Not many people at the top and non in Bell Canyon on way out. Took 4 hours. Trail was dry the whole way even though some major rain the night before. Do it!!

Not to be missed!! If you are in the area then give this one a look. The road out there was way better than expected, we had 2 wheel drive pickup but a regular car would make it okay when weather is dry. Little wild horse slots are a blast and only some scrambling over boulders but doable even by oldsters like us. The trail was mostly dry so wear good shoes. A stop at Goblin State Park on the way in or out is fun also. We are 60 and slow and the whole loop took us about 6 hours.
