Excellent walk and views to get in between Bryce and Zion national parks! A total change of scenery and a refreshing one (Driving up to the peak of Brian Head is also a great part that is on the way as well, and in Brian Head you can find some good pizza that goes great with the winter feeling!)

Beautiful easy trail. Great trail during the summer or fall. Since it's high elevation, I wouldn't recommend it during spring since there still could be snow. We have hiked this several times and love it. Wildflowers are great in the summer and you can get some great pics of Cedar Breaks along the lower trail. Like all hiking trails, you still need proper footware. We saw several people with either flip flops or ladies dress sandles ... bad idea. The upper trail is more trees and meadows, but still fun to hike. I would recommend doing this as a full loop to get the full expience of seeing the pond from up close and above. There are some trail guides at the start (if available) that are fun for kids to read at each of the markers along the way. This trail is good for all ages.

I took two five year olds on this hike - only to the Spectra Point Lookout. I LOVED it! Nice stretches right along the cliffs (yes, keep an eye on your kids) and some nice stretches in the woods. So many incredible views. Bang for your buck, this was a great hike with my littles.

Love being surrounded by all of the green trees and flowers. Water is always nice to have on a trail, especially when you live in Vegas. Pretty easy trail if you can handle the elevation.

This was a great hike. We took our 2 year old and he walked the entire way to the top. Beautiful views and scenery!!

Great hike. Awesome view at the end. Watch your footing as the soils are loose. 4 of 7 of us fell coming down.

Not a hike. This is 100% spectacular views for miles and miles. Just a short jaunt from the Visitor Center. We got lucky and was there for the Wildflower Festival in July 2018. So many flowers in bloom!!!! But the views of Cedar Breaks is awe inspiring!!!

Incredible trail through an ancient bristlecone pine forest with a gorgeous blend of red orange and green, showcasing the unique geology of the area with a great view at the top. You can literally stand right on the edge of the breaks (careful of the loose soil!)

The hike is absolutely beautiful and well worth it.

This is a short, paved trail with no elevation gain that goes to a view point, more of a walk than a hike. Many people walk up to the view point, glance in and leave. This, I feel, shortchanges this view. There is so much to look at in the canyon if one has patience, time, and maybe binoculars. Did you see the arch? :D I am sure there is more to see.. we may go back again and do some more staring! :D

There is also another paved trail that turns off this trail that goes along side the canyon to the campground.

The views would be awesome all along the trail, but we only finished a small portion of it due to fear of heights!! Our recording shows us going in a very short distance taking a little over an hour. This is because we went on the weekend for the Wildflower Festival and went on a wildflower hike. The hike leader was very knowledgable about all the flora and fauna, which took time to stop at various flowers and plants to explain to us about the various natural elements of the park.

It’s easier to park on the northern side. Pleasant walk on the higher route, leads to the ridge overlook. Pond was a little scummy so not the best.

Not real exciting, but enjoyable. Upper loop has a rock formation we liked climbing.

Cedar Breaks is a beautiful view and has some very dark skies. A nice park and look then go type of thing. This hike is nice and short but you do not really see anything different.

Altitude wasn't an issue with the minimal elevation change. Nice views and variety.

great view. Purpose of the visit to see these views.

Nice, easy hike.

Breathtaking views!

Beautiful views of Cedar Breaks. The switchbacks at altitude are tough, so be prepared. Well marked trail.

Not really a hike. Just an overlook from the Visitor's Center. Here to do the Rampart and Spectra Pt. Trail, but it wasn't opened yet.

Pretty, easy, casual hike. Great overlooks of Cedar Breaks.

If pressed for time, skip the second lookout - it takes an extra hour and is more strenuous than the first half. Very fun hike with spectacular views. Snow on December 28th was packed and fine to walk on with decent shoes.
