Description

The park is divided into four districts: Island in the Sky, The Needles, The Maze, and the rivers themselves. This landscape was eroded into canyons, buttes, and mesas by the Colorado River, Green River, and their tributaries. There are rock pinnacles and other naturally sculpted rock, as well as artifacts from Ancient Pueblo Peoples. The park is open 24 hours a day, year-round, but some facilities may close during the winter season. Entrance Fees You can pay your entrance fee at entrance stations, visitor centers or online at pay.gov Admission to Canyonlands National Park is good for seven days. You can updgrade a weekly pass to an annual pass within seven days of purchase. Private Vehicle - $30.00 Admits one private, non-commercial vehicle (15 passenger capacity or less) and all its occupants. Motorcycle - $25.00 Admits a private, non-commercial motorcycle and its riders. Per Person - $15.00 Admits one individual with no car. Typically used for bicyclists, hikers, and pedestrians. Youth 15 and under are admitted free. Annual and Lifetime Passes You can purchase annual passes for parks in southeast Utah as well as annual and lifetime passes for all federal lands at entrance stations or visitor centers. All passes admit one private, non-commercial vehicle to Canyonlands National Park. Lifetime passes also provide a 50 percent discount on camping fees at Island in the Sky and The Needles campgrounds. Southeast Utah Parks Pass - $55.00 Valid for one year through the month of purchase to Arches and Canyonlands national parks and Hovenweep and Natural Bridges national monuments. Admits one private, non-commercial vehicle or the pass holder and three persons (16 years and older) when per-person fees are charged.
