Pretty easy hike but all of it is uphill so keep that in mind. The views were pretty at the top and it was fun climbing on the rocks

Hiked on 9/14 and had the trail to ourselves. Easy trail but you'll need a lot of water since it's hot, dry, salty. I'd also recommend to hike in the clockwise direction. On the last mile we saw a coyote and military planes on a drill

I would definitely say the trail is easy, not moderate. We had to add a bit of distance to move around some bison on the trail.

HikingGreat!

I don't know if this trail is vastly different in the height of summer or maybe she wrote a review of the wrong trail by mistake, but I didn't see any of the negative things reported by Michelle J below. Sept 9, about 65 degrees, trail was just lovely in the evening. Also saw several bison. Recommend doing this trail clockwise, especially if starting at Bridger Bay Campground.

Hiked out here at sunset to see the meteor shower. It’s a well defined trail and an easy hike. There was a steady breeze so there were no bugs. Great views of the great salt lake.

If you see scientific equipment near the trail, please do not go near it. We are studying air quality and it is very sensitive to contamination. Thank you for your help!

Arrived here at 9a before the crowds arrived and we were the only ones on the trail for a good half hour. Beautiful surroundings and not challenging. I brought my parents (in their mid-60s and in average shape) and they found it easy. Wear stable shoes because there are some rocks to climb. Can’t wait to come back in a different season!

We went on a “night hike” because it’s mid July and the heat/bugs here are unreal. We got some GORGEOUS pictures, you have to go check the sunset here out. Besides that, the night hike was pretty fun, there are still gnats and moths but not nearly as bad as during the day and there are no trees so you don’t have to worry about anything scary crawling out of the the bushes. Didn’t finish cause my friend was too chicken but we’re probably gonna try it out again

We hiked this trail on the morning of July 4th and were essentially alone. Definitely do this one early as there is no shade after about 8 am. The trail was well marked and easy to follow. View of the lake to the west was fantastic in morning light. We saw the largest covey of chukars I’ve ever seen, a couple mike deer, a cottontail rabbit and various lizards and birds. The bugs were pretty obnoxious, from grasshoppers to biting flies to spiders hanging out in webs strung across the trail (we literally “broke trail” through countless spider webs on one section of trail). A little bug spray should help with the biters. We walked the loop in about 1.5 hours.

Listen, this is a hike for those of you who like spider webs bigger than you, flying bugs the size of your fist, rattle snakes and lots and lots of extremely fascinating piles of brown dirt. Oh, and for those who like seeing bison - nary a one to be seen. The pro: the lake is beautiful if you can ignore repugnant smell emanating from it.
