Return on this trail after climbing Hidden Peak.

Great view from Devils Castle and Sugarloaf Peak. Headed west of Sugarloaf and added Hidden Peak for a triple

Amazing hike! We went to the west of Cecret lake and up Sugarloaf. A bit less steep

great hike for families or those working to get back into hiking, lots of beautiful wildflowers

I was glad to find out the steep part does not have a lot of loose rocks. I was super glad I had hiking sticks coming down so I could do the 4 pt system to help me coming down. On the ridgeline when you look to the South that is Pittsburg lake that is up American Fork Canyon east of Tibbme Fork. Great views...not for those afraid of hikes. I did a 360 degree hike for Google moas/Earth. you can check it out on my blog https://shaunasadventures.blogspot.com/2018/07/360-hiking-adventure-devils-castle-alta_21.html?m=1 OR going to Google Earth typing in Devil's castle, then click on the little dude, and then click on a blue section of the trail you want to see.

There is no longer a free shuttle to the parking. Options for this hike are; park at alta and hike the Albion trail to the germania pass trailhead which adds 1 mile but is free, pay 6 dollars to access the summer road to park at catherine or Cecret, or pay 10 per person to ride the ski lift to catherine pass trailhead. The hike was gorgeous full of summer flowers. I didn't finish the hike. I started too late and it was too hot with very little shade, but I will complete it next week with an earlier start.

Great hike that really doesn’t go too far past Cecret Lake. Wasn’t as sketchy as I thought it was going to be either. Last half is very steep, but it goes by fast! DO IT!

Trail has fallen into disrepair and has several trail closed signs

Great hike, not too long although with a very challenging second half, in which a lot of elevation is gained in a short distance (very steep). The summit is primarily very loose large boulders and sharp drop offs, but utterly fantastic views of the Wasatch range and of Alta/Snowbird ski resorts. Summit as at approx 11.2K ft so weather is very variable and can be very windy. Come prepared.

I love this hike but prefer hiking it as a loop-- up on the sugarloaf side and coming down collins or vice verse. Even though it is in the middle of a ski resort, you rarely see people doing this loop and it feels more wild than what one would expect. Spectacular wildflowers--blooms later than Albion. It's a good challenge though--definitely a "hard"
hike because of elevation.

We saw rare wildflowers as pointed out to us by a nice gentleman on the pass.

Fantastic views! Steep but not too bad.

This was a fun hike. Lots of wild flowers and even a moose. I'd like to do this hike again.

Lovely hike. Still plenty of snow coverage in certain areas, a little bit of creativity is required if you're trying to stick to the trail proper. Baldy is still looking pretty snow from the SE side, better to approach it from the NE I'd wager.

This turned out to be a better hike that I thought. Starts in the parking lot next to the Gold Miners Daughter. Follows the road to Germania Pass. Its very green and the views are stunning. At the pass you can return the way you came or turn it into a loop via several other trails. You can also turn your hike into a double peakbagging by climbing either Mt Baldy and/or Sugarloaf Mountain.
