The trail is very well marked! We did the knobby knees and then continued across the board walk and stopped to turn around because part of it was overgrown due and we were wearing tennis shoes and shorts, and had our dogs with us. This was my friends first time hiking and he loved it! We definitely plan on going back! Bring water with you, especially if you plan to keep going on all the trails which totals 7 miles. You get access to the trail by walking along the paved trail that runs around the park. And there are 2 gates you must open and walk through. The trees provided great cover and kept it from feeling too hot. Use a stick and be mindful because there lots of spider webs in sections(we saw Golden orb weavers which means big webs haha).
