Activities include camping, picnicking, lake swimming, fishing, hiking, biking, nature study, boating, and water skiing.

Beautiful scenery. Saw several deer. The elevation is very gradual so it wasn't as tough as I thought it would be.

love these trails. They get the heart pumping and the scenery is some of the best in North texas.

Great trails, well blazed, great views, no crowds.

trail good for scenery and leisurely walk with dog and novice hiker

Fun day swimming, hiking and picnicking. This lake would be better if we had a boat, but the kids still had fun. The trail was a great climb and had an awesome view of the lake.

Possum Kingdom State Park is on the south/west side of the lake. We were there in the middle of June 2011. The temperature each day was about 105. It was very uncomfortable during the day. Whatever you wanted to do, it needed to be done in the morning before it got too hot. The whitetail deer are plentiful in this area, and are a pleasure to watch.
