All 20 miles of the North Shore trails are gorgeous. Best maintained trails within DFW, and it’s not even close. Great variety of train, fun elevation shifts and water crosses. Enjoyed the rocky terrain of the northwest loop. Will keep coming back.

Bikes bikes bikes. Most were nice and said hello. One said “watch out” he was the exception among the ones that passes us. We hiked with a 3 and 6 year old. Probably won’t go there again. Too much of a hassle getting off trail every 90 sec for a bike.

This trail is maintained by DORBA (Dallas off-road bicycle assn.). It is in nice condition and looks like lots of fun to ride. Hiking not so much. Not very scenic (at least in Feb), and naturally there are tons of bikes that you have to move over for all day. All very friendly, but still. Having said that, it is nice that the trail is broken into 2-3 mile loops, so you can customize your distance and still end up at your car. If you're looking to log some miles for a pack shakeout close to DFW (like I was) then it's pretty good.

Great hiking with elevations on well marked trail, just keep an ear out for MTB riders on your tail! ;)
