on Green Ridge Trail

Great trail! Nice and shaded. Would however recommend bringing a lot of water. This map really helped too as the signage can be a little confusing at times. As it is a combination of 2 trails, you have to walk across a parking lot that isn’t as shaded. Overall great fun, highly recommend.

I always enjoy hiking here. You forget your in Houston when you are here if you can overlook the distant noise from 610W. It's a nice getaway if your looking for something close in Houston

we visit this trail, awsome experience, lots of challenge. make sure picture the map because you will get lost if not familiar with the trails. & watch out for bike riders. love it

The green loop is a lot better than the purple, more up and downs. However, watch out for bikes, they’ll run you down.

Wear proper trail running shoes.

Very pretty walks through marshy woods on well maintained trails with occasional signs and facts about flora and fauna. We saw plenty of birds, rabbits, turtles, and apparently coyotes are fairly common. Were it not for the distant rumble of 610W, you could forget you were in the middle of Houston!

Dog friendly! Very nice little walk

Soon to be 74, let’s just say I tend to get lost on the trails. With alltrails, I can get from A to B, even if I wander for a bit. Without this app, I would not be able to get out and get my much needed exercise.

This is a city-owned park in which you have to pay for parking except on Thursday. The hike is on the Outer Loop Trail consisting of a dirt service road except for when it reaches near the parking lots. There are several other Trails intersecting it and it's a bit confusing at times and not clear directions. Plenty of shade along the walk with natural features and ponds. Water level is low in the large pond but you can still see plenty of turtles and fish. It's a nice nature trail but the sound of the freeway on the west side is overwhelming and disrupts the serenity of the trail, however we would do the walk again.

Ok it's been four months since we've done any hiking in California, so now we are in Houston Texas and we needed to get outside. Took a short hike on one of the trails at Memorial Park. This is a busy place with many other trails with bike riders and hikers. You need to follow the trail breadcrumbs on the All Trails App. There are sections on the trail that are too overgrown to follow and you will have change course. Nice short walk but to many mountain bikers on the trail to make it enjoyable.

Great trail. A little bit tricky. Lots of ups and downs. Not easy. There were some mostly flat side trails towards the end. Bugs.

Very nice overall. Free parking on Thursdays. The coordinates to park are not the best place to park for the outer trail if it’s your first time. The 610 loop plot has better signs to get on the trail

More scenic and certainly more challenging while backpacking than the hiking trails at the next door Houston Arboretum, especially portions of the blue, yellow and orange trails. The trails are well marked. If using headphones, keep the volume low enough to hear mountain bikers coming up behind you.

This isn’t the actual trail, so ignore the purple trail thing. It was a good ride down memorial drive and into memorial park before going along a bike path for a little while. Not a scenic route, but sidewalks and the bike path were not bad.

This is not a well marked trail. Even the maps they hand out are confusing for first time trail comers.

Nice trail for middle of Houston, part of trail is a dirt road for service vehicles. Better than walking the sidewalks
