A nice, easy trail. Mainly flat. We went right after 2 weeks worth of rainfall so the waterfall was flowing very nicely! The trail is paved the whole way. Overall, a refreshing hike!

The homestead Trail was nearly impossible to find. I went out there once before and couldn't find it at all. I went out there second time with my cell phone that had a GPS map on it, and I almost missed it again. My friend and I walked down it a little bit and it's really overgrown. We turned around after about a half-mile because there was a huge spider webs crossing the trail with a huge spider on it. We figured is that was at the beginning of the trail, where most people probably walked, it was just going to get really primitive later on. The Onion Creek Trail, which we did only that loop instead of doing both loops, was nice but a little boring.

This is a really easy trail. Pleasant, paved the whole way, and pretty. We stopped at the lower Falls at the end and took a break to wade in the water, and it was very nice. Lots of dogs, but on leash only. There's a $6 per person entrance fee to the park. I'd recommend getting there early. The only issue is the lack of trail markers in spots, especially at the beginning. I would've been lost without a map on my phone with gps.

Nice trail mostly flat, almost completely paved though. Nice benches available here and there.

Super awesome trail. I will be back again to venture out after completing this trail to include the others around it. I had fun.

It was great to see the giant Cypress Tree but it was hard to determine which trails we were on and we “accidentally” found it! Mostly easy, well traveled trails; i prefer more primitive trails.

Easy relaxing walk...would be a great place to go fishing if there were not so many families swimming. The waterfalls were non-existing due to lack of rain. Trail was EASY! Trails were not marked so it was hard to tell which trail you were on. Lots of people. And this was on a Monday afternoon walk.

Nice for a leisurely walk with your pet, decent scenery. Not my favorite of the choices of hiking around Austin, but the falls were nice.

Hiked to lower falls and the mill.

The falls were not what I expected the trail were ok. would choose another place to hike at if I had the option

Nice easy hike with good views of the lower and upper waterfalls. Go early to avoid the crowds of people swimming. The paved Onion Creek loop adds some miles but is more like a leisurely walk instead of hiking. Nice wildflowers along the loop.

It was easy and relaxing.

Very basic trail. Great for a beginner.

I stumbled upon this place when I was driving around Austin. Its a great park and a fun hike. Very interesting stream and falls. Like walking on the moon!

nice view of river, nothing wild

Apart from falling in the water at the beginning of the hike, the trail was uneventful and pleasant for me as a beginner.

Glad we went and super cool that there are neat little waterfalls right outside of Austin. Lots of little unmarked trails that made navigating slightly confusing even with a map.

Great location to get the pup out for a couple hours. There’s a $6 entrance fee, so I would be sure to spend more time in the Park than just this short hike to make it worth your while. I really don’t like that it’s completely paved though. I would personally rate this hike as “easy” due to the lack of incline or terrain.

Decent hike, easily marked in state park. The entire trail is paved, so not much of an adventure type hike. Easy walk. $6 entrance fee to the park.

Super underwhelming during summer when the falls are dry and the water is almost stagnant. That doesn't stop people from coming (it was pretty crowded today), but I wouldn't venture out and pay the $6 admission just to picnic with a view. The trails aren't marked clearly and the map we were given is a little misleading.

Great for grandpa and his motorized little rascal!

Beautiful place to swim or just listen to the waterfall. Hike the upper and lower falls trail!

First time hiker. This was a great trail to start with paved most of the way. We didn't finish we cut off the easy part down hill. We took the whole family 2 in carriers and one on the stroller. Looking forward to visiting again. $12 total entrance fee for 2 adults 3 children.

Nice wandering trail. Even though they close in some areas...the foliage is thick. If you hike this one after it rains be prepared for some extra mud weight on your shoes. And...keep a look out for armadillos!

Asphalt paved trail. Great for running, walking the 'city' dogs, and bicycle riding. (It may be a little rough on hybrid bikes). Not a lot of fun for seasoned hikers.

Really enjoyed this trail. Must have water shoes!
