hiking
muddy

This trail has terrible markers, I had to use the app the whole entire hike. There was trash, and broken glass everywhere!! After you turn on the east side of the trail it becomes a dirt road? It looks like they’re working on making it into a road but are at the very beginning stages. This trail is NOT WORTH IT.

Extremely lacking in trail markers. So, so, so much trash and broken glass. Like another reviewer said, if the city just paid a little attention to this park, it could be a gem. If you have dogs, I wouldn't bring them on this trail due to the glass. Ditto for little kids that tend to run and fall. We hiked on a day after a hard rain, and it was super muddy (not the trail's fault, but be prepared if you go after a rain).

Beautiful and enjoyable hikes (easy to difficult hikes available) but recently, it’s become trashed especially near the waterfalls.

Really enjoyed this hike. It does not take you down to the waterfall but you can still see it. The other thing is that the upper level of Thunder Road has been completely bulldozed. I went along in the mud and climbed over fallen trees and met back up with the trail near the end. There was only one part with a ton of trash and next time I hike here, I’ll bring a garbage bag.

Once we got past the entry a little ways it was better but there was SO. MUCH. Glass. It was freaking ridiculous

Beautiful, but a lot of trash :-(

Trails have potential but the trash is a real problem. Looks like it people were having a blast on MTB.

Had a tough time with this one, due to most of the trail being flooded. Like many people have said- there is a fair amount of trash. The trails aren't marked very well, but if you use this app- you can easily follow the trail on your phone. I plan on giving this another shot when it's dried out.

I loved it!

It had rained a few days prior, so I thought the trail wouldn't be too muddy. I was wrong. Ended up having to bushwack my way around many flooded sections, and take bypasses. There was a considerable amount of trash on this trail, which is a total bummer. Some of the climbs are pretty steep, which I enjoyed. All in all, I had a decent time.

Cool trail, nothing too crazy. Found an ascent that was nearly vertical on the way back, had fun with that. I didn't see a ton of trash, but there is some present. Usually, I pack a trash bag but this trip I forgot. The weather was a little chilly when I went, so I didn't run into a lot of people.

Nice trail. Some trash. But not too bad
Very wet today
Nice and rocky along w varied trail

Technical rocky trail, good climbs, sometimes insects get after you (stings, bites) in the areas with dense vegetation. MTBers help take Card if he trail, but watch out for them.

Good hiking trails and decently tough too. Great views of the dam, but quite a bit of trash. Broken bottles along the way too so wear good shoes and be careful with a dog.

There was so much trash. Very sad

Love the waterfall

Trying to find the old tractors that are here somewhere!

so let's all get together and clean it up!

Second time coming here, love the trails but hat all the trash.

If you continue this 2ml stretch, it will connect you to the 5ml sansom trail witch I love! But be careful it gets extremely confusing with no markers so if you do end up following the connecting trails, just be sure you have nothing planned that day lol!

Great trail if you like a good little hike but don’t mind getting a bit lost. Most of the trails are not marked until you get to the top. Several places are pretty steep but not too bad. The bottom portions are nice with plenty of shade. Not a place for children.

Definitely easy to maneuver and there is always an easier way down those trains.

Pretty site, just lots of trash. Trails are hard to tell apart from the places that are just washed out, and the views are pretty great for a city park.

Ok, we reallllly loved this hike. It wore us out! Lots of beautiful things to see! Be prepared! There is a beautiful spot by the water to sit down and have lunch we loved it!
Now, there are a few things I think that need to be said about this place. THE TRAILS HAVE NO MARKERS! We did not know we were on a bike trail pretty much the whole time! We almost caused an accident a few times because we honestly did not know. The bike trails are pretty active so keep your ears open to listen for them!
Make sure you wear some good hiking shoes! (not flip flops

It was nice but kinda crowded and really dirty. Lots of trash and it smelled kinda bad. The falls were really nice, and it was a good climb. Just dirty.

Beautiful view but like a previous review, there is a bunch of trash and way too much broken glass all over the trail. No markers either.

This trail is wonderful! It has a little bit of everything: forest that reminds me of hiking in the northeast, desert/canyon, creek and river. It is pretty steep and rocky in parts so be careful with little kids or if your dog pulls a lot. There are many shoot off trails that lead straight to the water and small private areas where people fish. It is also a biking trail so be aware of what's going on in front and behind you. There are hardly trail markers and many many paths. Most of the paths connect or lead back to other trails so I wasn't worried about getting lost. Just as a precaution though I used the all trail tracker. Overall great trail, I'll definitely be coming back with my pup again.

Nice trails, love all the switch backs. The lack of trail markers wasn’t a big deal to me because there’s a map at the trailhead. This place could be so beautiful if it weren’t for all the trash. Unfortunately, we share this planet with lazy fucks that don’t respect the beauty that surrounds us.

some of it can get confusing, had to follow map at times, other times easy trail to follow. different terrain, rock, dirt, and grass trail mix. Next to water for some and pretty views! We enjoyed it, will go again.
