First trail with my fiancé and dog! Love the different scenery and view that this place offers. The other hikers and bikers were friendly and polite! Very easy to navigate through the trail!

Great hike. Easy trail to navigate, even though you join/leave two other trails and a service road along the way. Beautiful trail roaming through the piney woods. Only good view of the lake is along the earthen dam, but still pretty cool.

It’s a half mile each way of “nothin to see here”. We chose to walk back along the road.

Bets time of year to enjoy this moderately long flat trail. Weather was picture-perfect and there were no bugs! Lot's of "sameness" in the terrain with "deleafed" dogwoods and Loblolly Pine trees. The lake was beautiful and the campgrounds were empty.

We got off the Dogwood Trail when I walked down to the lake to take some photographs, and for some reason, the AllTrails app stopped recording my hike. The lake was beautiful with the sun setting and the sunlight shimmering on the water. This trail recording is of the last part of the trail when we left the lake.

Fairly easy trail. Nice elevation changes but watch out for the tree roots. I plan on doing this one again.

Fun hike. The lake is gorgeous with lots of large birds flying around. Only difficulty is the length.

Easy trail with a few lake views. Good for an easy loop where distance may be the only hurdle.

Pretty views by the lake at sunset!

Did a portion of this today with my 5 year old son on his first hiking session ever. It’s not to difficult just a little long for him we turned around a little more than halfway in. Other than that it was great.

The trail is actually just a bit longer than the listed distance. The trail is 95% in the forest. The terrain is riddled with tree roots, so watch your step. You could wear regular tennis shoes and be just fine. Would be a cool trail for biking, and definitely trail running! I completed the whole thing in 2.5 hours.

Nice easy short hike! We usually go to Livingston to camp, but that may change since the hiking is better here.

Great Trail! Paths are pretty clear and the views are rewarding halfway through the loop. Very peaceful and quiet. The trails have a lot of tree roots and sand along them. A plus for good trail footwork to advance the hike a bit and yet still easy on the knees for us persons of size! LOL Will be back again!

Came to hike this trail Nov 8th. Area had a cold front and rain the night before. I began the hike around 730. The trail wasnt too bad, some muddy spots, but mainly just damp. I saw a biker and one other hiker the whole time. Very peaceful.
