Located along the San Antonio River in southeast Texas, Goliad State Park & Historic Site is just as rich in history as it is in nature. Visitors to the park enjoy camping, picnicking, hiking, fishing, kayaking, and historical study amidst a beautiful backdrop. History buffs will enjoy viewing a Spanish colonial-era mission as well. Although there isn't boat access here, the park is an ideal location to put in a kayak. Most people put in the water upstream, and then take out their kayaks at the park. The park offers several walking trails where you are sure to see interesting birds. There is also a campsite for those looking to stay the night.
