A quick uphill to the ridge top then an easy flat walk or run to the end. Trail dead ends at a road and is above a set of train tracks and a golf course. A partial and full view of the Dallas skyline are nice rewards.

Park in the gravel parking lot on the west side of Jim Miller by the soccer field, not the paved one at Gateway Park. This way you don’t have to cross Jim Miller. Go towards the giant metal power tower and past it until you think “this can’t be the way” and then you’ll see the trailhead.

Beautiful, tons of butterflies this time of year. It’s a quick trail but worth the time out to see it. Be careful the beginning has a super steep part but after that it’s fine.

Short enough to hike on my lunch break. Would be much better if a second trail to make it a loop was added through the eastern portion, but that would take a lot of work. The trailhead was kinda hidden from the nearest parking lot and there was broken glass on the trail. Since this trail is right in the middle of the city that can be expected.

Short trail wedged in between railroad tracks and Jim Miller Road. Traffic is audible the entire track but it was perfect for my two yr old to run around on. 2 nice vistas looking towards downtown. We were a few weeks from the fall colors being out. Around Thanksgiving plan to go back.

Short stroll through the woods. "Moderate" difficulty might be an exaggeration. Can hear traffic on Jim Miller Road the whole time. Nice greenery and views at points. Doesn't feel like much of an "escape" wedged between the road and golf course.

A mild incline in the beginning, but mostly flat. Very narrow trail. Not used very often I had to navigate a fallen tree. Made it more adventurous. Decent trail to run if you are nearby.

I like this Trail a lot

It was a decent trail by Dallas standards, if a bit short. The skyline was nice when you could catch an odd glimpse, but the spring leaves prevented most of that. It's not in the best of areas though.

Nice trail to walk or run. I ran it there and back in about 20 minutes. Some glass on the ground at the peak area.

The double bench outlook over the golf course is pretty cool!

Great short trail with nice views and plenty of nature. Moderately steep at the very beginning but levels out for most of the hike. We hiked it with our 2-year-old in a backpack and he even walked for some of it. Don't miss the view with benches in the middle or the skyline view at the end.
