Good steep hike all the way through. The rock climbing close to the top was a blast!

Gem of a hike. If you hike 15 miles and can’t find it - you probably weren’t cut out for this lifestyle.

This is a beautiful trail, a bit long and steep, rocky in some sections but not hard, I would say that is moderate, It has spectacular views throughout the route, especially at the summit where you will contemplate an incredible landscape in 360 degrees.

Great trail, clearly marked, beautiful scenery and wildlife. It gets quite steep but its worth it. Good but challenging hike for children. We scrambled up the side of the mountain to get on top of the aztec caves. You can see for miles.

I agree that this is a moderately easy path, the last section to reach the cave is more inclined and rocky, but not difficult. On the application map, the path is not marked to the top where the cave is,

Awesome trail with views of EP that's close to everything, but feels like you're in the middle of nowhere. Good to wear some sturdy shoes if you have them since there are some loose rocky areas.

Very fun hike. I love caves, lava tubes, tunnels, etc. The mines are really neat! You don’t get to go very deep in, but you do go far enough where it is pitch black without a light. The last bit up to the entrance is tough, but overall, not too bad. BEWARE of snakes! We saw a pretty large rattlesnake on the way back. My husband almost stepped on it. I read comment that said the trail is 6 miles one way - this is NOT accurate. It is definitely 3.3 miles one way!

My GPS frame 5 KM. Very good route, a bit heavy on the climbs. My children say they found it very heavy on the climbs. My wife sprained one foot down a slope. I liked it. You meet some people on the route. I would walk again!

Very challenging trail with beautiful views. My three kids were able to finish it and the youngest is 5. We also had our dog. I loved this one! Best in the fall/cooler temperatures for sure.

There are quite a few places to rest on this trail. Overall, definitely worth the 2 hour trip for me. I used poles the entire time and they helped especially for going down. Lots of bees for some reason!

This is a somewhat difficult, rocky and undefined path, but it is worth visiting this place and seeing parts of the plane that crashed here. I decided to continue climbing to the viewpoint that is next to the Ranger Peak Loop and return by the Thousand Steps Trail, it was an excellent experience!

The trail was difficult to follow because it had no marked signal. I used my alltrails application a bit to be able to locate myself. Still at some point I lost the signal. The view is very beautiful, if the trails were well marked it would be excellent to take my children with me.

The Hike to the cave isn’t bad at all. For the more adventurous folk, exit the cave, take a right and climb up the side to take in the views on top of the cave and side of the mountain.

It’s a really long walk with no shade, make sure to bring lots of water. The mines are very cool it’s not my first time going and every time I go see it I just think it’s amazing ☺️
