Great place to hike with lots of shade. Everything is very dry right now - much prettier with water. The trail map is inaccurate regarding the loop which actually starts earlier than the map depicts.

Really enjoyed this trail yesterday! It’s early October, most of the water was dried up because there hasn’t been rain in a while. The trail itself was very well kept, not overgrown. Didn’t see any snakes, just the occasional lizard. Would highly recommend this trail!

Great place for dogs! About a 2.5 mile hike, clearly marked, shade the whole time, and water for dogs to swim makes this a great hike. Close to downtown Austin. Went on a Saturday around noon and wasn’t too crowded.

Nice hike with shade all along. Note that the map of the loop on the trail is not accurate.

Went earlier today. Plenty of parking at 10am, Monday. My dog loved this trail as a good portion of the trail had water access. This is my favorite trail of Austin so far with the River Place Nature Trail second choice. I like that the trail was not heavy trafficked today. The people and dogs we crossed paths with were all friendly. I love the shady coverage and look forward to returning soon.

Great Greenbelt! Dog friendly and a nice incline. Great to take the dog out, get your steps in or both. I would rate 5 out of 5 when there is more water. Very beautiful trail!

Good rocky trail with multiple creek crossings. Shaded and popular on weekends. We went early on a Saturday and the lot was 3/4 full already. If you are not a fan of dogs this is not your trail. It’s an off leash park.

Be ready to get somewhat wet if you do this trail. Off leash dogs allowed and relatively easy hike.

Good trail but short, almost 3 miles. In thick vegetation that provides a good shade. Definitely wear right shoes such as waterproof hiking boots or Teva/Chaco/Keen water shoes. I used trekking poles for balance and crossing several creeks. Lots of dogs on loose but w/ their owners. I came here at 8am becuz of a small parking lot. Bring water bottle or camel water which I used. No park or portable restroom. I would return with friends who haven’t tried this trail.

This is probably a great trail for biking but not great for hiking. There are so many little trails that it’s hard to find your way around and I was worried I was actually in the way of the bikers.

I went after a rain so it was very washed out and we got wet up to our knees. However the trail was beautiful and I’ll be back when it drier!

You cross the water a few times, wasn’t hard to get through. If you fallow the trail you’ll do ok and not get lost. Wasn’t too crowded for a Sunday afternoon.

I've hiked this trail twice so far, and I plan to plenty more times. The trail is interesting with all the different terrain you have to cross, and there were a few times where I hadn't seen any other hikers in a while, which was very peaceful. My dog loves it also. Mostly every dog and hiker we can across was friendly.

Much more to this trail than the 2.5m indicated. While not well marked, every trail leads back to the main one eventually.
