Explore the most popular kid friendly trails in Eisenhower Park with hand-curated trail maps and driving directions as well as detailed reviews and photos from hikers, campers and nature lovers like you.

The beginning was a little boring, but the second half was worth it!

I love this trail! It has some great views and beautiful trees! There are a few inclines here and there which aren’t too bad!!

Good trail with a mixture of paved in on paved paths. One nice thing about this is they list each trail with difficulties on markers throughout the entire trail. It is very well laid out as well. You can walk all the way up to the lookout tower but the trees prevent this view from being remarkable. I wish they would trim several of the trees in order to get an unobstructed view of San Antonio.

Very slick when wet! First time and enjoyed the challenge. Some steep rocks and exposed tree roots. Can’t wait to run it when it’s dry. All trails stopped recording my whole loop. I ran the loop and got off on some side trails somehow and ended up doing 3.5 miles.

I try to hike this trail every weekend! Great views, friendly people!

Enjoy this trail and the other connecting trails. I've ran these more than a handful of times grateful for the rocks, roots, and slight climbs. Just gotta be careful on dewy/misty mornings...slippery rocks.

I really enjoyed this hike. The parts of the trail that are not paved are the best and very beautiful with the multiple views, they do have a steeper and tougher terrain but that’s what I’m personally was looking for in trails, it was definitely worth the hour drive, and I will be returning.

loved it.

Really nice technical trail with some good climbs and descents. View from the top is worth it!

Fantastic walking and running trail. The Eisenhower Park Trail system offers scenic views and some great training hills with technical ascents and descents.

Easy, gradual trails mixed with technical, rocky climbs and descents. Great views of San Antonio at the top. Not for the beginner hiker, but loads of fun!

It was a good trail for running. Lots of people and the view at the tower was decent.

For my first time here.. it was amazing, nice weather, and great and wooded trails.. you really feel you are far from the city.

Ok Trail needed more rest stops they seem to only be on the paved trail

My fav in San Antonio.

This is one of my favorite parks for hiking close to home. Lots of trails and some of them are really pretty. the trails are well marked. this park does get a lot of traffic.

Great in town trail. Makes it easy to forget you're so close to the city!

Good set of trails with varying difficulty. Nice morning run!

Nice short hike, perfect to kill some time on a weekend afternoon. Nothing to strenuous, relatively easy hike. The view from the observatory isn't the best, it'd be better if the tower was high above the treeline.

Solid and fun quick trail you can take if you're looking for some elevation.

It's a beautiful place. I did the whole hillview and added red oak trail and I will be going through the middle trails soon.

I like this one. Good workout - there's some good parts with climbing rocks that's good for the legs.

Good for beginners! Our dog loved it as well. Lots of trees for cover. They have a nice picnic place with table and bbq grill.

Such a beautiful and fun trail! My dog LOVES it and every time I leave I feel worked out and tired hahaha
Such a pretty view when you reach the top and the natural trails are incredibly adventurous:)

Well maintained, enjoyable trails.

Hillview Nature Trail is the only trail in the park that is a loop trail by itself. Hillview surrounds the other trails except the Red Oak spur. The northwest section is my favorite including the Bush Hill area. Except for a very short paved section close to the parking lot, the trail is natural surfaces. The trail is well maintained as is all the trails in the park.

These sections contain both paved and natural trails that are all well maintained. We preferred the views within the natural trail areas, but all is very nice. Easy going as this area misses the rocky trails.

Real nice trails, would be nice if dog owners will pick the poop and take it away, some trails really stink!
