Biked this trail in the spring and it was wonderful. Very easy and everyone using the path is very friendly. The sites are really cool, and history behind them is fascinating. Nice views of the river and some of downtown if you hit the right spots.

Beautiful missions. Had the honor to participate in one of the masses on Spanish.

There wasn't that much to see on the trail itself. The whole trail is paved. If you plan to visit the missions this is a lot longer than 15 miles. This is a great bike trail not good for hiking.

One of the most beautiful trails in TX. This is an east trail, all paved and road bike will do. You can start in downtown or mission Espada, and for the most part switch riding sides. Watch for families and fisherman on the sides, some sharp turns but overall incredible ride. We like to start at the blue art gallery in downtown and finish back there for a good cold beer!

This is good for road biking definitely, but hard when there are walkers on the trail not paying attention. I try to take my best friend and son here as much as I can.

Really nice trails, paved throughout, very peaceful strolling along the river. Lots of birds, ducks, etc. and native landscapes , it's a great nature trail. There are tons of places to stop along the way, some in the shade, some not. It is in the sun most of the trail, so sunscreen, hat & water are a must. During the summer months go early. Also paved trails can be hard on the feet if you are not used to it, wear appropriate foot gear.
