Loved the trail. Crosses the creek several times but well marked - it can be hard to follow if you have to watch your footing too, so slow down and take your time. Wear waterproof boots and take walking sticks or be prepared for wet feet. When I was there it was cold and overcast and with the recent rains the rocks were slippery and the ground was muddy in places. But that just added to the fun of the hike.

This was a fun hike! The part down by the river was gorgeous!! We saw a little cave and even went out on the water. Trail markings weren’t super prominent but overall well maintained. Would totally do again.

Great loop trail. Rocky but no serious elevation change. Wear over ankle boots. Start at Cedar Loop trail.

We started this route from the Grey Fox campsite. The lower river trail into the primitive camping area does not connect back into the upper river trail. Heading North on the trail from the river backpack camping area, the trail is obstructed by a downed tree and overgrowth just South of the connection about 100’. There was no easy way to get around and connect back in to the upper river trail by mountain bike as shown on the map. We had to double back to the split and take the upper path. The Lemon Ridge Pass trail shows to be a mountain bike route from the river trail. Recommend not starting the trail at this end. It was very difficult to ride up to the main road from the incline and rocky terrain. It will have most pushing the bike up the path. I wish I would have started it at the road and taken it down to the river trail...lol

This loop is relatively flat, which was refreshing after spending a lot of time climbing. Keep an eye open for branches as they are deceiving and dont appear to be as close as they really are.

I was really glad I rode this downhill since I felt like I had been riding uphill all day! This trail is less technical than some of the others available in the park.

This trail is gorgeous, make sure you wear shoes as the hike becomes fairly technical and is slick when crossing the springs. Look after your dog's feet too because the rocks are sharp.

This trail is mostly flat, wide, and relatively easy - making it ideal for most skill levels. The trail does become more technical as you get closer to the cave.

Really beautiful trail, so well maintained and easy to follow. Fun hike and perfect place to take a dip. Water shoes with good grip make it even better because the rocks at the bottom of the spring are very slippery.

I really enjoyed this trail. The south rim trail is extremely tough. As others have said, it would be easy to roll an ankle. Bring plenty of water and start early to beat the heat. For what it's worth, TX Parks and Wildlife have this trail listed as "very challenging"

Awesome Trail, great scenery not to packed, moderately traveled only on Gorman Falls Trail

You will not have cellular service FYI. But was a great hike.

This trail will definitely test your endurance. The north end is moderate, while the south is ridiculously hard. Bring plenty of water and sunscreen! Be wary of the rocks as toy decent, because you can easily roll an ankle! Felt great satisfaction after finishing this trail!

Very muddy and in some parts the trail is completely rutted out. Very overgrown in some areas and is hard to keep on the trail. Pretty rolling hills, didn't have much shade so it would have been rough if it hadn't been raining. Saw quite a few deer but no other wildlife, did not see another person the whole time I was out.

I went in the rain, which was very nice because I didn't see another sole for the 4hrs I was out hiking. This is a decent connecting trail, but nothing more. The grass can be pretty high and is likely wet depending on when you go, I would bring water proof pants just incase the dew is heavy. Otherwise there isn't much to see, flat trail with a few rocks. Able to move pretty fast on it.

Very rocky trail on the south end. Nice views if you take the time to look around every now and then.

Fun trail. There were a few creeks to cross. A neat water hole at the end but you cant swim in it.

The best trail at the park. Beautiful waterfalls. We got to cross the creeks. Great lookout spots. We saw a rattlesnake the first 100 yards but didnt see another one anywhere.
