It’s an okay trail. Credit to the park service for squeezing so many miles into a small space. There are enough ups and downs to feel like exercise, but no steep or sustained climbs. The downside is that there is no particular destination, and no spectacular view as a payoff. If this hike was somewhere else, with more hills, better climate, and great scenery it would be worth more stars. Instead, the rumble of traffic, the constant roar of the neighboring lime kiln, and the abundance of poison ivy makes it feel like suburban DFW. Oh... yeah... well, nice campsite, worth the trip.
