An easy walk around the river with views of the capitol building and the river. It can be extended to reach nearly ten miles or shortened to make this far less. A trail for a run as it is mostly flat.

Rented a Bike from Austin Bike. Awesome views, smooth trails, low crowds on a weekday.

Really awesome city trail. Easy to navigate. Very clean. Crowded in some spots but not too bad on the weekday. Great for running!

This is my ‘home trail’ for >25yrs. Flat loops of 2.9, 4.1, 4.5, 6.9 & 10 miles. Want to see people? Stick West of First St bridge. It does get crowded on weekends after 8am as literally everyone and their dog is there, but still plenty of room on this wide trail. Want more peace & quiet? Head east of Congress Bridge and it’s less crowded east of I35. Want a treat? Sunrise over downtown from the south shore. Not many people, the Lake is glass and the colors are amazing bouncing off the buildings and water

Nice urban trail! Easy to walk. A little rocky. Hard to spot Lady bird lake - bridge on Lamar Blvd or Lou Neff are the closest options.

Great trail and a beautiful day to walk.

It was a good trail with some beautiful views of the Austin skyline. I logged in about 12 miles on the loop. I'm only giving it four stars because there is so much traffic on this trail. People are everywhere! With the people and the cars driving by, there is little serenity.

Nice way to see the beauty and eclectic nature of Austin. Biking is fun, sand and gravel are ok...if you have a sensitive road bike...then maybe different tires are better for this ride. I went on a Monday, after ACL...pedestrian traffic was lovely, we shared the trail. Lots of stops for photo ops. The city has so many gems.

Dog friendly trail. You may start from the unleashed park. A good 10 mile stretch with lovely greenery, lake, and city views. My and my german sheperd's favorite part of Austin.

My dog and I love walking the Lady Bird Lake trail. There's easy street parking near Austin High School and it's simple to get on and off the trail. Plus, at certain points you are basically downtown and can grab a quick coffee or a beer. My dog also likes jumping in the lake to cool off. Lady Bird is a weekend staple for us.

Easy trail that winds through the city. Very busy but it’s wide enough that you don’t have to constantly dodge people. Beautiful views of the skyline and lake. Lots of areas you can get on and off if you don’t want to walk the entire thing.

A busy trail with lots of people and dogs. It's worth the caution it takes because the views of the city and lake are wonderful. A great asset for Austin. I'm from St. Pettersburg, Fl. We have lots of nice trails but this trail in Austin sets a high standard.

Sick running trail! Some of the most gorgeous views of Austin along this trail. Best part is the boardwalk trail right on the lake!

I love walking along the boardwalk as there are perfect views of the city and lots of turtles! There is heavy foot and bike traffic as well as plenty of water activities. Very nice path to take by yourself or with family.

Beautiful view of downtown Austin!

Amazing trail and have a lot of people that say hi and are friendly. Love going to the trail on the weekends and spending a day out there

Fun and easy trail with great views! Usually pretty crowded but it’s a wide trail so it’s not bad.

You finish up right by the bridge where the bats fly out! So check that out! I also saw the sunset over the lake and I’ve got to say, it was a perfect day!
