South Cumberland is one of the newer Tennessee State Parks. Almost all of our park lies atop the Cumberland Plateau and, unlike most state parks, ours is made up of ten different areas located in four different counties. The Visitor Center is located between Monteagle and Tracy City on Highway 41. From here the various components of our park are managed. Visitors can also obtain information and directions from the visitor center.

The trail to the base of the waterfall is a bit steep and gets really rocky at some points, but definitely worth it! Great area to swim too! One of my favorite hikes so far.

Awesome trail! Very rocky at some parts but so worth it!

Informative hike for anyone looking to get outside. The little museum is a must.

Great trail and beautiful waterfall! took a little over an hour hours but we stopped a few times for pictures and to enjoy the waterfall. about halfway it gets a bit rocky but overall not too bad and will definitely be back!

A must do trail on South Cumberland area. A relatively easy out and back trail. Great overlooks of Laurel Gulf. The outcroppings provide great photo opportunities or just a place to chill for a few minutes. The highlight of the trail is the end when you get to the stone door.

Great out and back hike for most skill levels. Wonderful views!

Absolutely stunning views. Not suited for all ages/levels in my opinion. My dog hated the suspension bridge so be aware if that will be an issue for you. Worth it though for the great falls and rock faces

Great, easy trail with beautiful lookouts!

Absolutely beautiful hike- we took a slightly different route, and would definitely rate this trail as moderate-difficult. Full review and more pics coming soon to our blog www.Wander-Full-Life.com ✨

Breathtaking fall at the end of a fun, but wee bit difficult hike. It's an unfinished trail, so parts of it feel like you are actually off trail. Lots of rocks to hop across. Trail is well marked most of the way.

My husband and I did this trail on Sunday and it was amazing. We drove 2 hours and it was well worth it as a day date.

The waterfall is amazing, the hike to it seems longer than what the sign says. The last 1/4 mile or so to the waterfall is very rocky. The waterfall is worth it though, I ran into several hikers who asked if the hike was worth it while heading back.

Fun, easy well kept trail for the whole family! Pretty views in lots of spots.

Beautiful! Short hike, but seems longer. Be ready for some navigating over rocks, both large and small. Stunning waterfall at the end!! On the way out, we hiked up to the trail that follows the bluff. It isn’t marked but you can’t get lost. Well worth it, if you’re game for a little adventure.
