Description
The Rocky Fork Wilderness area is just off Interstate 26 near Erwin Tennessee. The closest community to the park is Flag Pond Tennessee. Rocky Fork is approximately 10,000 acres of restricted wilderness and is open to hikers and mountain bikers only. It joins the Cherokee National Forest and the Sampson Mountain bear sanctuary in East Tennessee. The Appalachian Trail crosses the same area slightly to the Southwest.
