Description
Rocky Fork State Park is located on the southern part of the Appalachian Mountains. It is surrounded by the Cherokee National Forest. The steep terrain is drained by the Rocky Fork Creek. The park is surrounded by beautiful moss-covered boulders and has miles of unmarked logging and wildlife management roads. Hiking and mountain biking are permitted. The lush forest is home to many animals, including the Peregrine Falcon, the Yonahlossee Salamander, and Black Bear. Remember to exercise caution when visiting the park, especially if you come across bears. Keep your pets leashed. Practice safety in the backcountry.
