Easy and short hike. Overlooks river with a cool water fall at the end. Mudslide has washed out part of trail but was no big deal so no worries!

Cool short and easy hike. Would recommend for an awesome view of the river

Easy trail & pet friendly! I would definitely go back.

beautiful scenery. no matter what part of the trail you take

Short & fun. Loved the history

A lot to see for such a short hike

Kid friendly (+6) and scenic with short trails. It is mostly not challenging.

Short and easy hike. Decent view at the top and cool man-made waterfall. Good hike for some who may not be in the best shape.

The Tunnel Trail is not the draw to the Narrows, the overlook is. However this is more fun than climbing the overlook. Its an easy hike and take you back to a unique man made natural wonder. A cave carved out through the bluff to feed a mill which the remains of created a waterfall.

Short quick hike. The views were overrated. The highlight is the lower trail on the north side of the bluff, the tunnel trail, it takes you to a manmade tunnel, interesting history.

Short, but very pretty view!

From the Harris Street Bridge parking area, I hiked the trails leading from the trailhead to the historic water tunnel with great views of the river on the right and huge rocky bluffs on the left, and followed it back to a junction for the main path to ascend the steep staircase to the overlook. The views from the bluff make this trail one of the most scenic trails near Nashville. This was a moderate hike for a beginner like me with the steep climbs totaling about 1.8 miles and took me roughly an hour to complete.

Very short but really three options for hikes, one that’s rather steep but takes you to a breathtaking overlook of the river gorge and countryside. Great if you have an hour or two, before river activities.

Surprisingly short and steep, with a remarkable view of the Harpeth River. imho it's too easily accessible. Would do it again if in the area.

This short trail is so relaxing and has wonderful views at highest elevation.

Beautiful views. Great for kids.

Awesome. Hiked it twice this year and plan to again. has stairs with good amount of incline. has an amazing overlook with a great rock to take a picture on. really short so not intense for long.

Beautiful, marked well, great trail for the whole family, dogs allowed (leashed)

Wow. I loved this place. You can actually go along technically 3 trails if you park at a certain parking lot. You can go down a historical tunnel which will lead you to the watering hole with the waterfall which is very pretty. You can also go along another one that doesnt have a name that I say which leads along the cliff and its gorgeous. The last one you will have to go up a steep area and continue walking up and will get breathtaking views over the river and land. I loved it! I cant wait to bring my partner over to this area when they have time off. They thought it was gorgeous from the photos I was sending them.

Beautiful outlooks! Not the longest trails, but a great mini hike not far from I-40

I’ve done this hike a few times and it’s always fun. Easy enough for almost anyone, pretty short and high reward. I love going each season to see the changes! And swim in the Harpeth when it’s warm....

Nice gem off 40. I wanted to get a little movement in before the drive back to Memphis from Nashville. There’s more than just the out and back here. Be sure to check out the historic tunnel as well as the narrows. The springtime flowers were beautiful and the trail is very well maintained.
