Nice hike. Went early before it got to hot. Haven’t done this trail in 20 year. Nice sights.

First off, this is a single track mountain bike trail. Primary usage is mountain biking and not hiking. Prepare to move out of the way if you are hiking.

Good trail. It can get overgrown some and leave with some slappers. I like the multiple paths you can follow. Good mix of roots and rocks and neither.

Good little trail. The wild flowers were in full force. Also sense little muddy in places but should be drying up. Nice little creek running through.

Well paved and easy for beginners

Easy dirt trail. Lots of sassafras popping up. Close to a picnic area and great view of the lake. They had educational signs posted on different trees where you could scan a QR code and listen to a recording and learn about that specific tree's qualities and benefit for the area.
Also....what Jeff said.

This is a nice 2 plus mile trail. When My kids were little, my wife and I would push them in the stroller. Now we go out there to enjoy the nature and get a light but rigorous walk. It is also o good place to break in hiking shoes unit you are ready to do more difficult trails. the wildlife is beautiful as you will see birds, deer, wild turkey, and other critters. Its great not having to deal with dogs on the trail (and this is coming from a dog lover) when you are trying to walk fast.

Good short beginner loop. Easy hike with minimal elevation change and a well defined path. Excellent wildlife spotting opportunities with a mix of under canopy and open field hiking.

Great trail, very easy terrain and beautiful views of the water.

No pets policy is stupid. It’s the outdoors, not a hospital or restaurant.

Haven’t been in years. But heard about new trails that are being added. Spiced things up a bit. Lots of fun. Jones Mill is the first trail I learned to bike on years back. Good all around trail.

Great paved trail. Easy for kids with informational plaques along the way. There was one spot that was flooded over, but overall an easy and nice walk.

This was my first mountain biking trail. It was a lot of fun and good views of the lake. Even the bald knob part of the trail was not really any more difficult than the rest. When I got done I wanted to do it again! Will definitely be back!

No elevation, but love diversity of terrain from lake to cedar forest to rock outcrops to the glades (with Prickly Pear Cactus) to grasslands and more!!

Absolutely beautiful arboretum only God can paint a picture like this.

nice

really boring and not much to see

Super easy! Besides the lake and bridge youre more than likely to see deer as well!

A great loop trail, paved all the way around with little if any incline. Scenic as it makes it way around a small lake. Occasional sightings of heron, deer and turkey. Fun family walk to burn off some energy for the kids. Playground at the trailhead. Good to stretch the legs.

Coming from Long Island NY , I'm very familiar with Pine Barrens. We went here specifically to take a easy loop hike with my 2 small dogs. Well on the plus side, there was no one there. If I was biking, I would give it more stars but for a hike it was boring. Trails narrow and built for bikes with a lot of loose rocks. My wiener dog was not digging it..

Nice spot for a morning walk with a kid, quick trail and it's paved all the way through.

Paved, easy trail. Shade throughout the length of the trail. Best for kids, and people that want to just stroll.

Long Hunter State Park is my go to park. I enjoy this hike through Cedar Barrens, avoid it on the weekends since it IS Mountain Bike Trail. I have NEVER seen bikers there during the week.

Trail is adequately named. Not 20 paces into a counter-clockwise loop I was face to face with a doe and her fawn. Promptly turned around and went the other way where I saw even more baby deerlets. They were a bit more jumpy as they were alone. Trail is a bit overgrown in places, but I was happy to finish it as my fifth trail of the day. Fwiw I was walking it around 5 pm on a 90 degree day in late July.
