Description

The Hiwassee/Ocoee Scenic River State Park is well known for its recreational activities and the scenic beauty. The major attractions of the park include: floating, canoeing, and rafting (the river has difficulty in Class I, II, III, IV, and V rapids). Included in the park is also Gee Creek and Cherokee National Forest; there are 47 primitive tent campgrounds with a table, fire ring and grill for those wishing to have overnight accommodations. The 23-river mile section offers fishing, hiking, and amazing nature photos. Remember that users should always be safe and the streams may be hazardous - be mindful and be familiar with basic water techniques or water safety.
