such a great hike

Parked at the camp store and walked the river trail to the Wilhoite mill trail. We enjoyed seeing and reading the history of the area. The mill wheel and the dam piers washed down the bank were cool.

We started at the camp store. Started the inner loop. Got on the outer loop. Then to Wilhoite river trail and back to the camp store. Beautiful area with some ancient homesites ideas you know what you’re looking for. Not too muddy. Just enough to mostly only make tracks. This was a great loop for our day!

Fantastic! An easy loop along the river. Easy and pleasing.

Went the wrong way, needs better signs.

Well maintained, well marked trail. Mostly shaded with a great forested view. It's an easy hike but there is an "Inner loop" to cut the walk short if you should so desire. The directions to the trail head take you to the camping site but there isn't a lot of parking space; better to stay on the road just a little further and there is a better place to park and you will only cut out a couple/few hundred feet at most.

Scenic, shaded, well marked, well maintained and an easy walk from the park hotel...a great hike

Not marked well in beginning. Nice parts by the river and an interesting old/dried riverbed. Good distance for two kids under three.

shady trail

Ok

I want to try this one again but as a beginner the end part of this trail was not marked well. I got totally turned around and confused and off trail.

Took my boys (13 and 8), they loved it. We'll be doing the outerloop next time, the inner loop is a very easy hike, with lots of interesting sights. We saw several deer, squirrels and birds. There are sinkholes, hollow trees, all sorts of attention grabbers. highly recomend for a quick hike.

Nice trail but slippery when wet.

Was great for the family from 6 years old and up. Nice hike that wasn't too complicated. Was enough for them to be entertained.

Good trail, my kids always enjoy it. The overlook is really nice, but doesn't provide a view of the river (at least not in the summer). the boys call it the treehouse. There are some parts that could use some attention, there is a tree laying across that has been there for at least several months, but the path has managed to reroute itself around it. :) People on this trail are always friendly and if you go on a weekend, you are sure to meet some (very happy) dogs.

My favorite trail at Henry Horton!

Ok trail. Do not go after it rains. Very muddy.

Don’t recommend after a rain. Needs to be cut down, overgrown in parts. Overall a decent 4.6 miles though.

Great hike over all. Volunteers needed for trail maintenance.

Pretty damn cool hike not too far from Nashville

Pretty muddy after past night's rain. Two or three downed trees.

Great easy hike. Very clean trail and well maintained. Well marked except for them you get to the lookout tower, the trail continues behind it near the steps. Nice for dogs too. Lots of great wild flowers and fungi.

Not much to see on this loop trail, other than millions of mayapples. these were amazing.

This trail follows the river downstream then wanders up a ridge to a backcountry campsite then circles back to create a loop and an in/out. Nice trail. 3 or 4 blowdowns which look like they have been there a long time.

very interesting about 3 mile loop through karst with lots of sinkholes and slots. Fun trail, well worth the hike.
