Nice to all through the woods, road noise disturbs the peace. We did it Christmas Day and didn’t see anybody else on the trail but enjoyed people watching in the park. I’d hike this again if I was trying out new gear before going on a full on hike.

Not a good mountain biking trail for beginners. Expect to have to get off your bike at times when going uphill because there are boulders and roots everywhere on the trail. There are A TON of them. There didn't seem to be many places where I could pick up a lot of speed like other trails. The trail seemed a lot longer than what the map showed and there are multiple other trails that branch off along the way that aren't mapped. I'm not sure what they are, but because of that and the trail not being marked very well, I got lost and rode for around 45 min longer than planned. As far as wildlife, I ended up seeing a few does and was hit in the face with plenty of spider webs. I believe I was the first to ride the trail that day even though I started riding it about 5:30 pm. There were A TON of spider webs strung across the trail and I had to keep wiping them off my face and arms. When I say A TON, I mean probably 150 in the 4-5 miles that I rode. No exaggeration. I'm not sure if it hadn't been ridden in a few days or what, but the spider webs were bad. In order for me to ride this trail again, my friends will probably have to beg me to ride it with them. The Cane Ridge trails are more enjoyable than the Priest Lake and Jones Mill trail. The Jones Mill trail was a little rocky and rooty too, but I had more fun on it than this one.

Right off a main road and buggy

this mountain bike trail was great it was easy but not too easy, beautiful in the wooded parts, however the traffic is a little bit annoying but I can live with it

Buena ruta para practicar, hay muchas piedras y me encontré una pequeña culebra, pero en general buena para un día de bicicleta.

I hiked this trail. I went early so I'd be less likely to interfere with the MTB'ers. I saw 2 actual bikers, and 2 joggers. Hikers, please read the following and take it into consideration. The reason these trails are MTB trails is that there really isn't anything to see and the setting isn't fit for actual hiking. I did this trail because it is a trail I hadn't done, and I'm trying to hike out my area. The trails are pretty narrow, and not really challenging for a hike at all. They are just, for the most part, miles. It's not really worth it unless you're just a completionist nut like me who wants to say they did it. For the most part, besides two pine barrens and an old used tire graveyard, there isn't anything to see. For people who are going to bike this trail: This trail made me wish I had a bike, not that I could have done the trail. It actually seemed to be interesting and had some spots that looked like they would actually challenge a person on a bike. There's a jump or two in there, but mostly it looks like this trail just hates your quads and hammies if you're on a bike. You guys know, most of these trails for bikes aren't all that special, and when things get dropped by your ilk, no one really ever notices as they fly by. I'd recommend getting with the friends of the park, if there's a group, and cleaning up that mess of a tire graveyard. It just makes you guys look bad. As far as biking goes, I'd give it a 4 since it looks like it'd be kind of fun. Docking stars for general trashiness of the trail, specifically the tire cemetery. There were 2 downed trees on the trail when I went, so keep your head up, not that you could afford otherwise on this one.

This is probably the most technically difficult mountain biking area I’ve found in the Nashville area. In fact I bent my wheel pretty badly tweaking it between two rocks on a rocky downhill section. The difficulty can be offset by doing the front side of the park. When you go in the tunnel under the road, that’s the really technical area. I think the front side offers around 5-6 miles of singletrack, the trail on the other side of the road offers another 6 or so I believe.

More technical than most mid TN trails, lots of rocks. Love it though and have been riding this trail for a long time. This is the first local mountain bike trail that I remember. Again Yekew is incorrect, hikers, runners, and dogs on a leash are allowed. No horses, no motorized vehicles. Pedestrians have the right-of-way, cyclists do not.

NO HIKING , NO RUNNING Mountain Biking only. You will get hurt if you are hiking and running and will be responsible for accident and damages to bikers property. Nice rock garden! Helicopter Landing pad for bad accidents. follow maps on MTB PROJECT

No Hiking. No trail running. For mountain bikes only. Multiple trails so you can cobble together different lengths and degrees of difficulty. Go early.

Loved loved these trails!! I was reading some other posts on this trail and I give this a 5 Star. Ran in rain this early am and trees kept most If rain out. Trails were muddy, slick and somewhat technical. Loved it! Be happy there’s dirt trails in the city! I travel a lot around the US and dirt trails more than 1 mile are getting hard to find, especially for longer runs. Only thing I would suggest is some signage on the trails. Easy to get lost in there.

I like this trail. First time being on it. Love the water scenery.

Not a good hike. AllTrails states that it's good for hiking, but the trailhead clearly states that hiking is prohibited and that the trail is only to be used by mountain bikers. Since we had already driven here we decided to walk it still, stupidly. It's a very long, boring trail. No destination, nothing to see, and it all looks the same. Save your time and pick another trail. Will say though, trail looks great for mountain bikers.

Are you allowed to trail run here?

This is my favorite trail in the area. First time ridden in 4 years or so but it never disappoints. A little something for everyone on this trail system. Very well maintained.

not bad! i like it because it's a trail in the woods and super close to home. the lake is across the street so refreshing to do that afterwards. had 8 ticks on me afterwards though. mostly a mountain biking trail.

Lots of road noise from the neighboring highway, but it was a beautiful trail and we didn't run into a single person the whole time. (On memorial day weekend, no less!)

Fun trail, somewhat technical.

Would be a really pretty walk, but very difficult to follow trail. A few strange people that did not look like they were there to hike the trail. Saw 2 condom wrappers.

Thu Mar 10 2016

It was very relaxing, very easy flat trails. Few roots and rocks here and there but not difficult at all. Your choice of routes makes it great because you can go 2-5-7 or 11 miles depending on how ambitious you're feeling.

1st time mountain biking. There were definitely some spots I had to pull my bike through/over. Easy to get on the wrong trail

Mon Mar 16 2015

This trail is enjoyable enough, not too difficult. However, most of it runs along the highway, and the traffic drowns out the peaceful nature around you. The length was okay, and better once we cut off the trail and hiked along the lake.

Nice trail really long and challenging, wish there were signs.

Awesome trail. Love the drops and of course all the rocks. Wear knee pads !!! Directions around the trail is sketchy. But that's way we have apps to guide us. Maprika works great for me.
