Great hike! Not too challenging and lots of pretty sights to take in. You can take your time or breeze through it!

Fiery Gizzard trail from Sycamore Falls to Ravens Point closed till August 1st.

Easy hike! Beautiful area

Very worthwhile trail. Loved the challenge!

Beautiful trail! But the lower fiery gizzard trail and dog head loop are closed. They believe until June 1st. So all you can do is the Grundy day loop. Loved it beautiful. But just a 2-3 mile easy hike to sycamore falls

I loved everything about this trail, as soon as I got there I could hear the water flowing. The whole trail was beautiful & there was a view of the water every step of the way. There is a part where it gets kinda rocky but it’s not too bad. I’m definitely going back and walking the longer trail before summer is over!

Nice easy trail for hiking. Not ideal for trail running, 3/4 of trail is exposed root bed.

My favorite hike. Starting at foster falls going to ravens point and back is a wonderful challenge, about 16 mile round trip. This last time I went I took to much weight and decided to continue past ravens point and venture towards the grundy forest area, about 13 miles. Thank goodness for Dorothy. Such a great woman who really helped me when I was humbled by the forest.

**UNTIL MAY 21: The sections past Sycamore Falls are closed for pipeline maintenance. (Per the signage out there)

The part of the Fiery Gizzard to Sycamore Falls is lush, beautiful and cool with a lot of Hemlocks throughout.

Started at Grundy and ended at Father Adamz campsite. This is the best trail we have ever done in regards to beauty and being a tough hike. About a 14-15 mile hike if you do everything. The plan was to hike back to the car the next day but we abandoned that idea before we even reached the campsite. We got a ride back to the car from Dorothy T. 423-208-5949 - $10 per person. Thanks Dorothy you saved our legs!

Hiked the entire upper trail including Raven’s Point (roughly 14 miles) last Sunday. Weather was perfect. Trail is one of the best I’ve EVER hiked. I loved the changes in scenery and intensity along the way. HUGE dogwoods in bloom along with numerous wildflower varieties. My favorite area is the Tracy City loop. The way the sun shines down through the trees and the sound of the mountain streams is otherworldly. The crew were all experienced hikers and every one of us was DOG TIRED by the end! This trail is NOT for the feint of heart, but worth the effort. I don’t recommend hiking after heavy rain as the rocks will be EXTREMELY slippery andascent/descent very treacherous.

This hike was great!

Wow this place absolutely lives up to its billing!! A short magical journey through two sandstone creek gorges with Waterfalls, Blueholes and tons of places to explore. We added on the trip to Sycamore Falls and found some rock pinnacles to climb around in. Standing on top of the tallest one was really cool !!The best feature to me was Black Canyon Cascade. Plan to return in the summer to enjoy the amazing Blueholes !!

Such an amazing and beautiful trail! It really does have everything if you can tough out the 10 miles. It does get somewhat technical at points, so I think the "hard" rating is appropriate. Give yourself about 6 hours to complete it if you can keep a pretty good pace.

Like hiking in an enchanted forest! One of my favorite “easy” hikes!

Amazing trail! Challenging, but so beautiful!! One of the best hikes I've been on so far!

I’m not sure why this site has the trail at 9.1 miles. This is the 2nd time I have completed the trail and I get right at 10 miles each time. Once again, the trail was amazing. Late March, started in the morning at about 45 degrees and the temp never got above 55 degrees. It was perfect hiking weather, but really chilly at Raven’s Point. We did the trail counter-clockwise and went through the Gizzard first. It’s tough to enjoy Raven’s Point when you’re pretty exhausted. Next time I’ll try this trail starting with Dog Hole first and finishing in the Gizzard. Didn’t need as much water with cooler temps, but if you have a small Helinox chair, I would recommend bringing it. I’m going to pick up a couple for the next trip. It would be amazing to be able to sit next to the creek for a while and enjoy the peace and quiet for a while. Can’t wait to do it again!

don't take small children. really good trail otherwise

Gorgeous hike with lots of scenery. Was able to complete while carrying my 8 month old son in his baby carrier. Definitely planning to head back during warmer months to enjoy the blue holes.

Beautiful hike. Fairly easy.

Beautiful trial with gorgeous river trail and small falls along the way. Highly recommend for a quick day hike.

This trail is awesome. Lots of payoffs: good views on rock outcroppings, waterfalls, beautiful forests. There is a ton of good stuff to see packed into 12 or so miles. There are some good backcountry sites to camp, although it is a shame that the midway campsites at Raven's Point are closed. On that note, hiking the trail end to end in a day, with a pack, is NOT easy. My wife and I are fairly active but not the athletes we used to be. At almost 40 years old the ups and downs of this trail will wear you out. There are also a few spots that are a bit scary, not bad, but take the packs off and pass them up as you climb. Awesome trail that you should definitely try. And SUPER nice and active park rangers, checking to make sure everyone made it to camp safely and not lost on the trail. If you don't have a shuttle car or don't want to hike all the way back (we didn't - too tired - haha) then call Troy @ Troy Transportation. He'll give you a lift from one end to the other for a small amount of dough - totally worth it! His number is listed at the trailhead. Enjoy!

Great hike for us even with relatively young kids. Lots of interesting scenery to keep kids interested and moderate elevation changes to create a little bit of challenge. Trail in very good shape.

Had an amazing hike there, one of the most challenging I've been on in a long time... well marked trail...

Super fun and worth the hike. Very rocky. So many sites to see and many small waterfalls. The views from ravens point is worth the extra mile.

This is it for trails, has everything!!! An awesome, amazing place. One of my favorites!

Absolutely beautiful hike! Check out our review at www.Wander-Full-Life.com
