Nice rugged hike with lovely views!

Great trail to a little known cabin. Trail pretty easy and found the trail to the cabin fairly easily.

Loved the easy incline, great for a meet up and easy hike. Midnight hole was my favorite, fresh clean water. Will go back! Lots of daddy long legs

Hiked this loop in late September, took on the southern part first. There was a water crossing very early on, and a good bit of time was spent in or nearby the creek bed. Not really any views to speak of, but Abrams Falls was quite beautiful. The trail from Cades Cove to the Falls was heavily trafficked, but the rest of the trail was quiet.

Challenging but very rewarding. The trail has a lot of stone and wooden steps that help with the change in elevation. The sign at the top that says "do not cross" was easy to get around and we were able to summit with relative ease. This being said, I would not recommend attempting this without some skill in climbing.

Great hike. A little longer than All Trails says but that is a good thing. Very lightly travel on this day only saw a handful of other folks on the trail. We did it clockwise and did it in just about 2.5 hours. Very wide to begin but narrowed then widened at the end. Bonus: you get to pass Col Chapman’s residence.

Such a great hike, but take the longer hike and go see Arch falls too. So beautiful but to get your pictures will be tricky. Dogs handled original hike on leash without difficulty. Be careful of the squirrels had a few throwing things at me. Lol.

amazing view! however the trail is very Rocky and needs maintenance. Difficult to enjoy the hike when your trying to make sure you don't twist an ankle on the way down.

WOW included very steep but well Worth it

Great trail, well marked, has a lot of shade, beautiful creek, great views.

nice trail the waterfall was awesome!

We just did the Fontana damn this morning ! Beautiful & WOW

Wonderful hiking

A little deceiving...the elevation gain at beginning and end (x2 if you are doing it as an out and back) can really wipe you out quickly.

The first part of the trail is pretty easy going, even though you are constantly ascending. The trail is wide and most of it is gravel. When you reach 1.5 miles though, everything changes. The elevation change is dramatic and you are in a constant climb. The path has a lot of roots and is also very rocky. Good hiking shoes or boots are recommended because there are many places to twist an ankle. The falls at the top are worth the hard climb up!

Well-maintained trail, well-marked signs with mileage. Great family hike (completed with a 7 & 5 year old). Impressive little fall for such a quick hike. Quite busy, you certainly don't get a sense of being secluded. If you're looking for something off the beaten path this is not your hike otherwise it's very lovely.

Really easy & beautiful weather

It was hard but we loved it

Started on the little river side and followed it upstream making a more gradual assent for probably 3.5 miles when we got to cucumber gap it was a pretty steep descent but very passable. When we got back to the Appalachian club cabins it was interesting to see how many are still standing, Trip was more than 6 miles total. If you start on the Jakes creek side then your climb comes first and its downhill from the gap but you're following the river downstream which is less scenic.

Nice easy walk. There are some steep drop offs along the way so keep you kids close. Although the water is low, it was still a beautiful waterfall. Late in the day there were only a handful of people at the falls.

Wonderful View! I wish I would have came on a clear day. It as a very short walk, but it is up the whole way.very crowded!
