This was fun! The hardest part was the beginning. It was relatively short, but it leads to a breathtaking view. I wouldn't advise bringing children though.

Beautiful falls! You may have to wait in line to cross the suspension bridge depending on the season (number of people), but it’s worth it to hike around down by the falls. The overlook view is gorgeous as well.

A very short but steep climb down rocks to get to the incredible waterfalls and swimming hole. We had a large group with dogs and kids so they had to stay behind. My 10 year old niece was able to climb the rocks easily. We did jump in but the water was freezing! We had to help each other get out of the water. I would not recommend for dogs or young kids.

Man this hike was pretty! Pretty easy trail, wear good hiking shoes though.

Went over the Easter weekend. Quite busy and had to wait to get across the suspension bridge. Great views of the waterfall. Like that you can go right down to the water.

This is a great day hike spot. The top does appear to be a challenge but you quickly discover great large footholds that make it rather simple to climb. It is a lot of fun and the view is so worth it!

Trail can be a little intimidating but the view is totally worth it.

easy hike, trail well marked.

easy.

Definitely a difficult trail, but it is completely worth it for the view of Cane Creek Falls at the bottom. This view is far better than the other two overlooks.

A little short and pretty sure I could do it barefoot.. but it’s beautiful

Stayed overnight on the trail. Got in to the park Friday came out of the woods Sunday. Nice hike hard and steady or it will take you 3 days. Trail wasn't blazed well.

stunning in winter with the ice and snow..beautiful area

This trail if full of amazing views and makes for a great weekend trip.

True, it isn’t very long...but it is TOUGH. I hike regularly on all types of trails and terrain, and as the review states, this is for experienced hikers. I feel like most of these reviews don’t accurately prepare first timer for the vertical decent and how it’s essentially scaling a rock wall in one area. Not for dogs and I personally would not attempt to bring children on this one. The falls at the bottom are BREATHTAKING though!

Would have given I️t a 4 Star if this trail had better marking. The trail is beautiful and the overlooks are great. You can see at least two different waterfalls in the winter. The signage is confusing but we managed to make the loop. Once you park in the parking lot, then follow the trail that crosses the road, keep going until the trail splits. There are signs at the split but I️t does not mention a loop. Go to the left towards the outlooks and follow the purple blazes and I️t will loop you back around to that same split.

Short trail with spectacular views.

Beautiful. Make sure you go all the way to the top of dam. Lots of water today although I do not know what normal water level is.

Cool trail. Plan on doing the Cable Trail, Fall Creek Falls, and the swinging bridge at Piney Creek Falls on the same day. All short but amazing.

Great with kids!

Over looks where nice but the trail isn't marked well.

The overlooks were nice. One was completely grown over so you couldn't see the falls. Easy trail for the dogs. We went mid-October, meaning the park was packed so this was a nice, empty trail. Met maybe 2 other hikers along the way.

Overall, we really liked this trail; however, it is poorly marked, so we had to rely on the GPS on our phones to make sure we stayed on the trail. There is one spot where you have to get up on the road briefly, which would not be ideal with young children or during heavy traffic (there were very few people up there when we were there during the week, so it wasn't a problem for us). If the trail was better marked, we would have given it a 4/5. It's a very pretty trail.

Love the horseshoe shape at top.

Great workout in the woods. Several "overlook" spar trails to explore. Beautiful fall colors.

I had a blast on this hike, only bummer was length. I wish it was just a little longer! Make sure you wear good shoes, it got wet and slippery in places but overall I had a great time. 4/5 stars for me due to trail length, 5/5 otherwise.

This is a beautiful and easy hiking trail! Well maintained, well marked, the trail is very easy to follow. There is some elevation but most of the trail is at water level. The beginning of the trail is 0.6 miles from the inn but there are a couple other parking points to access.

The Woodland Trail part of the trails is much easier than the Gorge side. It was a very nice trail. Looking forward to hiking it again soon.
