on Harpeth Woods Trail

My favorite trail.

This trail is quite popular for good reason. I rarely went more than 5 minutes without coming across another person. The beginning and end of the loop parallels Vaughn's Creek which is picturesque. I was surprised how rocky the first quarter mile of the trail is as you ascend the hill. What sets this trail apart from most others around Nashville are the high elevations and the large old growth hardwood forests with some of the largest cedars and oaks I've ever seen. The climb to the top of this trail was pretty brutal for a beginner hiker like me, with the seemingly endless switchbacks, but I certainly felt accomplished by the time I reached the top of the highest knob. The rest of the trail takes it easier on the hiker.

Good and changes with season. Please correct your app. No dogs/pets allowed.

Hiked the trail with my two boys ages 11 and 8. It was steep at points with a lot of uphill climbs but we were able to do it just fine. Beautiful trail!

interesting. would do again. well marked trail. bridges. some incline.

Great for trail running. Easy hike for kids. Watch out for bikers though. We had a lot of rude bikers just fly past us with no warning. Overall great scenery and peaceful.

This is my “go to” trail. I know it by heart. A good 2.5 mike workout. Great for running when it’s not too crowded.

Easily accessed trail, was a nice 2.4 mile loop with some great hills. Not really any lookouts or Cool scenic spots by an enjoyable hike. Mildly trafficked.

This park has a collection of 3 different mini trails. One leads to a waterfall, another up an incline to an amazing view, and another meanders along a river. Very short hikes though. Be mindful of when it rains, otherwise it will be challenging on one of the hikes because of the mud.

Nothing too special, good day hike near the city if youre not looking to travel too far

It's pretty tough if you take a right from the parking lot because about 1/3 of the way through you dip down and then gain all the elevation in one huge climb.
I like the challenge and it definitely gets my heart rate up

Well maintained, nothing too special in terms of views (that I saw anyway) but the leaves changing in the fall was definitely a bonus. Never felt too challenging but is a workout for sure.

Nice trail with some killer hills to climb but, too many people and no views.

Lush green and local! Great little hike for an afternoon!

Nice short trail with good proximity to Nashville. Lacks any spectacular views, but a solid place to get a few miles in close to town. Lots of flowers in the Spring along the descent toward the Nature Center.

The Warner Park system is such a gem. We started right at the trail from the Vaughn Rd side and its basically a 450 foot climb over about half a mile. The rest of the trail is pretty simple but really nice short walk in the woods.

Visited on spring break and it was crowded! Lots of people and lots of dogs. Trail was damp but not too muddy. TAKE NOTICE--- visitor center is closed on Sunday's and there are NO MAPS available outside the center. There are numbered points of that interest around the park and without a map it is difficult to know what they mean. Maybe there's an online version I didn't find. We're glad we came today!!

Nice hike around the hills for our first time to Tennessee. Some good views towards the top!

I've hiked this trail more than any other trail. It's a fun, fairly quick trail with a lot of natural beauty. No great views, but a nice getaway in a large metro area. There's one nice hill that will give you a little cardio. The one drawback is it is a very highly-trafficked trail. Don't expect to get that great isolated feeling that you'll get from more out of the way locations.

Pretty but much shorter than anticipated

I do this trail 3 times a week so I'm getting bored and heavy traffic on the weekends.

A Cute, short, woodsy and entirely shaded trail that leads up to a hawk viewing platform and has a few bird blinds along the way. Rated fairly easy, it connects and intersects a few of the other nearby trails to get a longer loop in.

Near to the Nature center and the parking lot. Kid friendly, older friendly, into-to-trail-running friendly.

even though it rained earlier this hike was a refreshing one. I don't think it's easy... definitely rate it as a medium level trail but it was enjoyable!

I'm brand new to hiking and this one is just hard enough to make me feel accomplished but I'm still able to finish!

Great for first time hikers and a great view at the end.

Did my first trail hike with my 4.5 year old son. The trail was was a lot of fun for him. A few bridges to cross, lots of rocky areas and a nice steep hill to ascend. There were a few times I wasn't quite sure where we were but the map in the app was real helpful in guiding our course.
