Great trail for an afternoon hike. It received some damage from the 2016 wildfire, but new life is easy to find. Plenty of elevation change to keep your heart rate up. I'd give it 5 stars but near the top it joins a horse trail that was too muddy to continue on, so we were only able to complete about 1.6 miles before turning around. The trail follows along the creek (which you cross a few times) and there are many "mini" waterfalls to look at.

This is a hard climb out

Great hike for those that want to get messy! It had rained a lot this past summer so the water was high, past my knees in some areas, and muddy trail path. Some of the path had been washed away, so it was a bit difficult to find at times. But overall a great adventure! The directions are simpler than stated. Around mile 12 (i believe) past indian boundary and eagle gap trail, you will see a sign directing you to the parking lot "Grassy Gap". If you reach rattlesnake overlook, you went too far. The trailhead is to the left side of parking lot, a little difficult to find because it is set back a ways.

Beutiful hike. Many small beuatiful waterfalls. Quite a few creek crossings, better be ready for some wet feet. Most crossings are over boot tops. Trails descends treking in and all up hill out. Trail is actually named Grassy Gap Trail.
