Description

Chickasaw State Park has something for everyone! The park borders Hardeman and Chester counties - it was once inhabited by the Chickasaw Indians and became a state park in 1955. There are various activities for visitors such as hiking, biking, horseback riding, and boating. For hikers, there are more than four miles of trails varying in difficulty, including a guided trail. Visitors may also take on bicycle-friendly roads and horses are available for rent at the stables. Take note that horses are not allowed on paved roads. Guests may also rent rowboats and pedal boats on Lake Placid. Visitors looking for an overnight stay have a few options available - the park has historic cabins available for lodging. There are also RV campgrounds and regular campground sites. One of the few wrangler campgrounds is located in the park for those visitors traveling with horses. All campsites have picnic tables, grills, and hot showers, and a playground. Chickasaw State Park has all you need for your next outdoor adventure!
