Good day hike for some time in the woods. Not much to it, kid friendly but not recommended if it has rained recently. Expect wet/muddy conditions in several spots.

Ok peeps this is really a good tune up trail and would be great for the kids. Parking lot will only fit 3 car at a time but you could park on the side of the road. Not a difficult trail relatively flat with a few rocky areas here in there. Never saw any wild dogs or any this that would scare anyone. This trail just need to be hiked.

Good trail when it has not been rain as much as it has. Will be going back.

Great family hiking trail if you have younger children.

Mostly a walk through the woods. Trail was fairly well marked. Saw limestone formations and sink holes. No rivers. Terrain was easy.

This is an easy little stroll. We took our 17 month old and let him walk mostly on his own (some areas we picked him up or made him hold our hand when close to drops or over larger rocks). Otherwise, a quick easy hike with about 3 main rock formations.

No river. Very overgrown in some parts. Easy to lose the trail markers. Would not recommend.

I recommend this trail in the spring when all of the flowers are blooming. It is nice for exercise.

There wasn't a river, but there were some cool looking sink holes. Nice places to rest and enjoy lunch.

thought it was pretty boring

It's a nice trail kinda long, About 4.2 miles.
Mostly level and not too much climbing. Follow the white markers, you'll cross a horse trail several times that's marked with orange markings. It's 12 miles long but clearly marked so it shouldn't be a problem.

nice trail, a lot of overgrowth on the trails

Nice single track with some good technical spots. Not quite 5 miles but enough to get a quick run in.

The trail wasn’t marked well with multiple pathways that went out at different places. The sign posted said 5 mile loop, my Garmin said 3.72 so not sure if it was my watch or I took some shortcut. The scenery was beautiful but there were multiple spots that the trail was really overgrown.

Nice walking trail. Not to busy. Not to hard.

Took my daughters Girl Scout troop on this trail near the end of May. it was a perfect trail for getting the girls acquainted with carrying their gear for an extended period of time. Trail markers are kept up very well and easy to follow as the path is kept up too. Went right as the park was opening so it was just our group, 14 not including the 3 Pups we had sniffing around. My Kiddo and I had a blast! About 95% of the trail is covered as the name would indicate so great for light rain or shine. I highly recommend this trail for kids as it's a rather gentle hike or if you are just looking for a relaxing way to spend an hour outdoors.

Very easy trail but was a bit marshy and muddy even though it had not rained in a while. We will do it again.

This is an easy trail for an afternoon hike. Some reviews tag this trail as boring but there are places to stop off & things to see if you're looking.

Best done day of or with in a couple of days with rain. Creek fills and flows to a pit sink.

My wife and I hiked it often until we saw a 5ft rattlesnake, but it’s a good hike.

The Spring was so hidden you will never find it because it's dried up. Other than nice walking trail.

We stopped at the state park for a break from driving along I-40. It was a nice walk for a little over an hour. The trail is well marked with a packed dirt trail. There are some slight hills. We enjoyed walking between the boulders. When finished we had a picnic and appreciated the restroom facilities. No fee to enter this state park. Thank you Tennessee.

This is such a great trail! A really fun variety of landscapes and vegetation, plus lots of spooky sink holes. Next to no elevation gain, so much like just a long stroll through a beautiful cedar forest. I went on a late Tuesday afternoon and didn't see a single other person.

Very nice small state park with camping, playgrounds, and hiking trails. Trails are well marked. Watch for after rain storms lots of big mud puddles.
