Great beginner trail. This was my first one and had a great time

Well maintained and well marked trail. Begins and ends in a nice camp / park / playground area along the water. Ridge is a long gradual incline and shoreline can be wet/muddy. Highly recommend for dogs and people with young but able children.

Really wet trail today

Nice local trail, on 20 minutes away. Was clean, well marked, and today wasn’t many others out. Was wet today, so a bit slippery, but great view and wildlife. Scenic and peaceful :)

Great easy to moderate 2.7 mile trail. there are other shorter trails if you like.

Pretty this time of year.

I loved this trail. It like trails that are cleared but still rugged with rocks and such. I saw over 20 deer and eventually lost count. There were also turkey, cranes and plenty of bird watching. You even walk past a pasture of cows. It’s very shaded and I plan to come back very soon. There is one section where you walk past the campsite section. I went in the afternoon and people are sitting by their tents and campers and such and looking through the trees at the water. There was a lot of saying hello but that section doesn’t last long.

There were several spots that I had to pull my map out because the trail wasn’t marked. It was odd to walk by people as they slept. I don’t know, I wasn’t a huge fan of this trail.

I took my dogs for a hike there around the entire loop. it was very well kept and shaded. We even found a painted rock. We only saw two other dogs and 4 pedestrians. The water views were beautiful.

Took me several weeks to complete the whole park all the way around and man it was challenging and fun only a small area was paved so that made me happy. Not a fan of the paved asphalt. Loved the shoreline trail. But be warned high ridge trail is very steep with stairs for railroad ties and lots of rock. If you can get past that the rest is great. Enough hills to make it a great hike. Not very crowded either and plentiful shade even in August. Only had 1 tick on me but was my fault because I did not use bug repellent more than I did. Lots of wild life to see. Deer, turtle and fish in little stream. Highly recommend!

Easy walking trail my young daughter loved going on a “Hike” with me. Perfect for the kids.

I've done this hike several times and always enjoy it. It's got enough variations to make it interesting.

nothing to add

Nice shade on a hot humid July day. The shoreline trail is a secluded walk on the lake while the ridge line trail provides some elevation change be prepared for a steep descent. We took our time stopping at the benches along the trail all told about 3 miles in 2 hours.

We love walking at this park. Always see deer and other wildlife. Peaceful place to go and walk.

Nice easy hike. Lots of deer!

We saw so many deer and the paths were quite easy to follow. The view over the water is lovely. Can’t wait to go back to camp and explore again. There is quite the incline that was surprisingly steep but it had great footing.

The trail has a variety of areas and we saw a lot of wildlife, but it kinda appears that the area is “under renovation” and that kinda took away from the experience.

I absolutely LOVE this park. Great trails, clean bathrooms, two playgrounds, so many deer!!! the water view is amazing.

Amazing and fairly easy 3 mile trail into a very green forest and along the lake.

This trail is poorly marked in many places. It intersects with other trails multiple times without signs indicating which way to go. At one point I was taken completely off the trail and was following markers for what must have been an old trail. The worst part was the second half goes straight through a camp site for at least a mile. The only reason I gave this trail 2 stars was because there were some nice views in the first half.
