So nice trail!

Beautiful trail. All under canopy. A little water for dogs, so be sure to bring some to be safe. Very lightly used mid morning mid week. Nice folks that were out.

Nice trail but seems to be more popular with mountain bikers. I was the only hiker the day I went. You can take Sassy's Pass and cut some distance out but I did the full trail and enjoyed the privacy of the longer route. My only complaint would be the proximity to roads, a house and retreat areas. Beautiful creek and wild flowers.

The trail shown is the LST trail, which is roughly a half mile. There are some neat little landmarks. Kids like to wade/swim here as it's not too deep.

The main trail which starts at the first parking lot is just over 5 miles and is bi-directional. Hikers walk one way and bicyclists go the opposite way. The direction is switched monthly. The big arrow in the parking lot show the current direction for that month.

If you're hiking and get tired, there are several opportunities to get off the trail and cut back to the parking lot. Just study/take pics of the map and you'll do fine.

Nice, beautiful trail loop! Mainly used for mountain biking. I would rate this trail as ‘easy’ for hiking.

Very nice hiking trail. Mostly geared toward mountain biking but lovely for hikers too. We hiked this with our 3 dogs on a beautiful fall day. Very nice loops through beautiful gorges with open sections and tight spots through the mountain laurel.

very nice moderate trail. good for when you don't have all day to hike.

Great mtb trails; easy hiking trails

Well established trail. Mike markings seem to be a little wacky - some maps say 6.0 miles and some say 5.4 miles. Great 4ish hour hike with a 6 and 8 year old.

We hiked the shorter trail, Leroy Smith nature trail. The longer one is called JFA, Jorge Francisco Arango, and is a little over 5 miles. Even just the shorter trail was nice with plenty to see and enjoy. I didn't seem to find a short trail called Sassy's Pass.

Getting back into this and this is a great beginner / intermediate trail. Just about ready to take on something tougher. If you're out of shape, this is still entirely doable, and a great workout. Either way, it's a really fun ride.
