this is a nice connector trail. stayed on Spider Woman 2 by the river and kept going along the river instead of going back up to the regular SW2. beautiful, relaxing spots. nice and easy before meeting Midlands Mountain and heading back up for the parking area. only issue is spiders along this connector. kept my walking pole up like a sword and wound up with 2 or 3 spiders on the pole. MUCH better than in my face, though.

great beginner trail that challenges.. small hills.. lots of shade.. different types of terrain.. could be slightly better marked.. but made it ok because I had my phone with this app. would recommend this trail to log some miles

It’s hot! Bring a suit and take a dip in the river!

Mostly flat wooded trail in Harbison state forest. If recent rains, watchout for some muddy spots! Took about an hour an forty minutes, not really walking at a fast pace. Definitely doable and if the kids can be in it for almost 4 miles, definitely doable for them as well.

Me and my fiancé went and did most of the trail in a few hours, the trail was very muddy but nothing we couldn’t handle (it had been raining for like 3 days). Not very strenuous at all. Very well marked and well kept; the only gripe I have is, well took a side trail and we ended in this section that had been completely logged; in talking no trees at all and you could see where the trail was supposed to follow through this section but the markers had been knocked down and the trail cut off.

Decent little loop with some views along the broad. Trail could be marked a little better. Some light ups and downs but nothing to strenuous here. Nice way to spend an afternoon with my four-legged sidekick.

added in section between Spider woman and Midlands Mountain. came upon a group of butterflies, possibly monarchs, at a beach area. There was a turtle there as well. This section comes out on MM. I turn right and head up, keeping towards the right. I take the shortcut (old forestry path) to the crossroads of MM and Spider woman. Then I headed back on SW. MM parking was full, so I added in the Stewardship parking path as well that connects back to base of MM. Overall good time.

This is my favorite trail so far, it could be better marked though especially towards the end. I am always thankful for this app to help guide me whenever needed. Love stopping by the river to take a break, its such a beautiful view and incredibly peaceful. I did use my hiking poles which was helpful on some of the terrain. Looking forward to going back!

Trails soaked so checked out the roads. Almost 10 miles if you do them all!

Trails closed so walked the road. Easy 7.5 miles on a pretty day. The road is not so pleasant on hot or very dry days due to exposure and dust from the road, however.

lots of fun! spend a few hrs out here. I can't wait to go back!

Nice day. Cool and misty. Water levels at the river amazingly high and a couple trails flooded because of it. Could find ways around at all points. Strung all the trails together to get the 20 miles but you can shorten it up as you like. Trails often muddy so don’t be surprised if you come back a bit dirty!

Took my teenage daughters and our dog on this trail. Was a good short trail for a chilly afternoon.

Great trail. Easy to string together multiple trails to get miles. Check out one of my recordings to make a 16 mile circuit. Can be muddy depending on how much rain we’ve had so be ready to get a bit wet.

Walked from parking to river which was nice. Trail won't comfortablely allow two wide - have to walk the edge...it is forested and open. Saw one deer comfortablely away, probably too many bikes coming through. Will probably cone Shaun and do the whole loop.

Nice moderate trail through woods with multiple areas to stop and grab a snack or water. Harbison Bluffs a little underwhelming but easily accessible. Trail sufficiently marked.

A nice gentle stroll. Just peace and quiet with shade but beautful with fall foliage.

For Columbia area, about as good as it gets. I hiked Firebridge to Midlands Mountain to Spiderwoman 2 and back out. I think it was about 9 miles total. The Spiderwoman 2 Trail has the best terrain, water views, and best wildlife of those hiked. Saw herons on the river, a family of four frogs lined up on a log, and ate some wild grapes (muscadines). Bring your trekking poles to swat spider webs as you walk.

fantastic terrain. went in the spring and everything was incredibly #green and alive. We had to walk from the front gate to get there because the gate was closed during open hours for some reason but I made for a great 8 mile hike. will be back!!!

Hiked this along with the firebreak, stewardship, midlands MTN trails this morning. That added a decent level of difficulty to the loop. This trail felt more like it believed in NE South Carolina rather than the heart of the midlands.

Hiked this loop this morning added spiderwoman as well to get something a little more technical. Tons of MTN Bikes on the trails but was still a great hike.

pretty flat but could be a nice running trail
