This was a fantastic, easy trail ( sometimes a bit overgrown, but easily traversable) along the water.

Easy walk with great views along the water. Some parts of the trail through the woods were a bit overgrown.

This was fantastic! Started on a wide path straight down to the beach. Then you walk along the beach, which is rocky and full of shells. At the point (or earlier), you can head back into the woods and catch the inlet oceanside. The wooded path on the return does get very narrow in places with some thorn bushes (about 3/4 of the way back to the parking lot) so bring some bug spray (ticks...there were no mosquitos) and a long-sleeve shirt. Or...just take the wide trail back that you walked in on but you’ll miss the rusted out car. A+ would hike again!

This trail was just what I needed in a really hot and humid day. Dirt road is a straight walk to the beach which I had all to myself, I went on a weekday that might change on a weekend. The trails through the woods were really pretty and provided the shade needed to sit and enjoy the bay.

Easy but pretty little hike. Main trail is a straight shot to the beach but if you keep walking around you get to some more interesting trails. Don't forget to bring some water shoes, the beach is very rocky.

Wow! Various terrains and great views at the Point. Lots of water for water dogs.

Great dirt road that leads to the beach. There’s many side trails that are beautiful but it was a bit muddy in places and a few overgrown areas. One path that leads to a beautiful cove. There were dogs playing in the water and a few kayaks. Beautiful spot.

Nice little hike to a rocky beach. Want to come back with beach chairs and cooler (like a few people we saw did) and camp out on this secluded, free beach with the pup.

Gorgeous trail but with all of the rain recently a lot of paths are overgrown with thorny vines. Other than that very nice area!

Good for the dog and kids. It's a quick walk for the dog to go swimming. The only complaint is that people need to pick up after their dogs. Stepped in some once and saw three others on the way down to the water...

Rome Point is a beautiful local hike. Not strenuous but you can hike many miles if you wish. You can do it as a loop or out and back. You can walk the shoreline or keep to the woods. There is something for everyone. I love to go here at different times of the day and experience it in different ways. Just enjoy the moments it offers!

Nice to hike down to the water and relax. Very easy hike with some nice side trails. Try an evening hike! Enjoy!

A great wall on a brisk spring day, followed the main path to the beach, then followed it almost to the Jamestown bridge. A little muddy but there were a decent amount of people and dogs enjoying the weather, heading back next week with some trashbags to clean up a few areas of the beach were trash piles up. 4/5

Trail to the beach was very muddy. Snow made it difficult, but as soon as we hit the beach...Beautiful! My son and I had a wonderful time exploring.

Pretty wet hiking after all the rain we've had lately. Lots of low, wet spots, but an easy walk with nice scenery. Watch out for the prickly vines, though!

Nice trail. Rocky. Dogs are allowed with leash. Great view of Jamestown bridge. The beach section (0.25 mile section) was full of shells which was hard on the pups paws. Last mile of trail is narrow, but overall nice trail.

Well maintained. Decent amount of traffic. Great views along the coast.

Cut through the woods before the beach if you’re trying to trail run or walk with purpose, I always skip the beach part unless I’m just strolling. The briars get a bit crazy on the back side of the loop but I do enjoy the trail.

The path was narrows way too much and wasn’t a clear loop. The beach has way too many shells to walk at a good pace.

A little bit of everything!

I walk this trail allot and love it. if you dont want to walk on the pebble beach, before you get to the wTer where the benches are, look to your left. there is a small trail that winds through the woods. At the end go rt, and you will be heading to the point. Might see some seals there.

Beautiful spot! Dog friendly but beach is hard to walk on. A lot of sharp shells for dogs pads. Bummer cuz it's a great spot!
