Great trail! Nice views and an easy walk, but be careful! The .6 - .7 marker length of the trail is flooded and the trail they diverted around now also leads to a wetland.. just confusing. Took an extra 45 minutes to get back and Had to maneuver the flooded section of the trail, but after that it was easy. Just keep it in mind

We went out with our 8 and 6 year olds and they loved the trails, however I was frustrated by the lack of markers. There was about an inch of lingering snow from the most recent storm, so the paths were difficult to find.

The parking is very confusing. There are no parking signs at the entrance and the other parking area down the road was blocked off. I talked to some locals there and they said it was fine to park at the entrance and that the sign was only to discourage people. Hmm...

Also, there is a requirement to wear fluorescent orange due to the area being welcome to hunters. Lots of folks out there in bright orange carrying rifles and I didn’t feel safe running around without any bright colors on.

I won’t be going back.

Happy running,
Ultra Ryan

Gorgeous trails. Saying that, nothing is marked and you could easily get lost. Follow the GPS trail on AllTrails. I would not recommend this trail for small children.

A perfect cloudy October day! Beautiful!

I have rode here several times ,with out gps easy to get lost or looped back far from parking spot but never really lost most trails come out to main rd or run across other people.

One of my favorite hikes, I prefer the trails further out away from the lake, more of a hike lots of climbing , all the way around top of the ridges

Nice trail. fairly technical and very narrow in some spots. Minor elevation gains along the way. Lot of rocks with some very tight fits to get through. some steep drop offs. Not too bad but really needs to be better marked. Easy to beer off in a wrong direction if you don't know where you are going

It was a well maintained path with plenty and of wild critters. Our dog had a great time too.

Kids enjoyed the ponds. End of trail near the beaver dam was a little difficult for the kids to get through.

Very nice. Very quite on a Monday morning. trails are left wild and not well marked but easy to follow. Loved it. Will Definatly come back often

Nice trail, beautiful views of water and streams. Not well marked

great place to ride. some easy trails but then there is much more challenging trails. The only thing tho, trails are not marked at all. I enjoy adventures so I dont really care about getting lost. Just ride smart and ride safe.

Beautiful woods and ponds. If you follow the suggested itinerary counterclockwise, when arriving near Tarbox Pond it seems to go off-trail, or the trails are no longer maintained, I don't know. I took the blue trail that stays away from Tarbox Pond and I reconnected with the suggested itinerary further south.

Haven't seen the place in 20 years, still beautiful as ever!

Loved it!
Great meadows and trails.
Just didn’t like the sounds of distant gun shots :(

I came in from Carrs Pond rd, near Middle rd. Its kind of marked...lol. Once I arrived at to the pond, I just walked the perimeter. I was a beautiful, wide open trail. Though it not well marked, Its still easy to get around, and was beautiful on a snowy day.

Great trail. Don't forget blaze orange during hunting stream. Loved the beaver dam.

Great trail with a lot of single track options as you go.

i haven't done this yet but plan on it but if it's anything like the carrs pond hike 4.1 miles the blazes will be awful and advise you have a fully charged cell to follow with gps or you're lost..other tgan poorly marked i loved it.

end of the trail was washed out, had to double back to the 328 off trail but a great easy trail. majority of it is a fire road with some minor ascents. tarbox pond isnt much to look at but carr is gorgeous.

Many trails . Lovely waterfalls and pond. Trails not well marked but I tried to stay on perimeter of the pond. No bugs!!!

Very disappointed in this trail. Trails are very poorly marked, there was broken glass everywhere on the trail. Many people with dogs off leash that were bothering my appropriately leashed dogs. Very highly trafficked, no time for a quiet moment.

Its very pretty, with lots of little breakoff trails to the water. Only caution is many dogs off leash which can be nerve wracking. Ive ducked and dodged with my own on leash dog several times because of off leash dogs who seemed to not have much training. If its a concern Id say off season or during the week to avoid the bulk of traffic. At least directly around the pond. Its a very nice hike and even during the peak of bug season I didnt have many problems.

Can someone tell me where those stone circles are? Can't find them

No trails are marked bring a gps or your phone with this app. Lots of trash everywhere, but other than that Nice views decent hike

Walked with my two dogs to the pond. As you can see from my photo there is a mud and stick dam. It was leaking and ready to burst. If it had let go me and my dogs would have been swept away. My 20 lb dog would not have serviced. I will never go back. The leaking mud stick dam is not visible until you are right in front of it. Scary, stay away!

Very pretty wooded trail, easy to maneuver. Wasn't super clearly marked, but the map feature on this app made it easy to figure out where to go! Bring bug spray if you're going in the afternoon.

No markers on the trails so it was a bit difficult to follow but we still had fun exploring! Easy enough for the kids to keep up with us (5 and 7 year old)
