very pretty, easy hike

i absolutely love this hike, got a lot of great pics. pretty easy.

Beautiful spot by the falls! Hiking trail allows you to hear the river as you see rock formations and beautiful flora.

Hiked as part of North South trail. Easy trail.

Took our 11 month old son and he had a blast!

So much wildlife along the trail and in the river. Tons of fish, frogs and wildflowers. Super muddy so wear hiking sandals!

Great easy trail. We took it slow and enjoyed the beautiful pond views. Parh was clear and marked well, very easy to follow.

Despite some bugs (comes with the territory) and some long grass, this trail was pretty and had some great hills. I personally liked the wide trails. There are a lot of forks so the map came in handy.

a little confusing since it's a little overgrown. but the little waterfalls and views were amazing. my daughter loved catching frogs.

A perfect combo of hill rock and even terrain! A great hike with beautiful views.

I generously gave this lightly traveled, family friendly trail a 4 star rating for hiking. It can best be described as a vanilla trail (nothing special about it). It was a great walk in the woods where you can easily rack up 8 miles. The moderate rating on this trail is way off base. Even for a novice hiker, it is an easy one. Elevation change is minimal. The difficult portion of the hike was staying on the Alltrails Premarked Trail. The many connecting trails were mostly unmarked. Sometimes the trails were well worn, but at times, the trail disappeared into a large field, just disappeared, or morphed into a dirt road. I cannot stress enough the necessity of downloading the trail map ahead of time so when you discover spotty or no cell service, you still have the gps. I would probably still be wandering the many trails if it wasn't for the gps and the downloaded Alltrails Map. I would hesitate to say this is a dog friendly trail as it is used frequently for horseback riding. This made avoiding the many horse droppings on this trail challenging at times. Another note of interest to a would be hiker is the undefined parking area. Alltrails took us to the parking area which was a field across the road diagonally from the trail head.

Really cool trail! No too difficult, lots of shaded areas and beautiful views. The trails are wide open and you have multiple options to adventure and be close to nature. I believe a small part can get a little muddy on rainy wet days, but nothing to be concerned about. Will bring my dog next time. Was very quite and I only came across 3 ppl while walking. If you are looking for a nice easy hiking, i am sure you would like this place. Came across some animal study as well. I am very curious about that. Took some pics! Like other mentioned, very close by you can find a very old historic cemetery. I stopped by and walked around for a bit. Now get out there and have fun!

Nice shady trail with the dogs for a warm summer day. The dogs loved the smaller streams along the way. Not too crowded on a Saturday.

Due to the high humidity and temperature, the rocks were wet with few and slippery on the river trail.

A bit overgrown and trees blocking the paths. Dog enjoyed the walk until unleashed dog ran in that he wanted to play with and the pulling began. Personally I would only break the leash rule when deep in a trail and am fairly sure there are no other dogs around so I don't ruin someone else's experience.
