Nice place, especially if you have your dogs. I enjoyed it especially the water.

Inspiring and beautiful. With lots of ways to wander as you will. Only did part - not whole - but will be back. Came in late April and did hear gunshots. Not sure what the hunting is like in the area, but may be good to wear bright colors.

This is a nice little trail. I suggest parking on 165 at the Frosty Hollow pond area and taking Shelter trail all the way to Ben Utter. You get to pass through the old camping cabins and Steppingstone falls becomes a reward for a 5.5 mile journey through Arcadia. Round trip is a nice almost 12 miles. Great way to spend a day in the woods.

start hike from Falls River rd. because they closed the gate to the entrance road... you have to walk a mile and a half just to get to the trail now... on a long dirt road.. not fun.

I only had one hour and didn’t complete the hike but I’ve already made plans to come back. Beautiful trail by the river.

This might be my favorite trail. I love it.

I love this place so much! It always offers up a new sight or sound everytime I go there.

Very nice trail, mostly in forest with sparse understory. If you walk it counterclockwise, follow first yellow blazes of Breakhart trail, then the white blazes of Shelter trail southwards. At Frosty Hollow pond, take the John Hudson trail northwards to go back to Breakhart pond.

Beautiful and easy with a bit of climbing some rocks along the way. The only way it could be better is if it looped.

Easy out and back hike. Wish there were more to the falls but it's peaceful at least following the river.

Terrible trail markers. Not fun. So much unfulfilled potential.

Very pretty. Footing can be a bit slippery at times with loose rocks. At the top of the falls is actually a place I see people swimming all the time, so bring water shoes if you like taking a dip.

Great hiking spot! Not too busy. A little buggy. I'd go again.

it was challenging in places but very nice

On 6/24/17 We hiked the southern half of this trail from rt 165 (ten rod rd) south to green fall rd. It was pretty easy, but wet. what made the hike amazing, besides being with my daughter, was that the mountain laurels were at peak bloom and we hiked through the center of the most enormous grove I'd ever seen. We walked amongst the blooms for almost one mile.

We walked about four miles of this trail which has a small river of water you can choose to stay beside on either side. Even further away from the water the trail is still wet with water running towards the river. Really awesome rocks and old trees that you can crumble with a swift snap kick and minimal mightiness. I thought this trail was awesome from beginning to end.

Fun day hiking. Even though there had been heavy rain for previous couple days, trails had drained pretty well; not much mud at all.

Great walk for the pup

Nice short and easy trail. Can't beat hiking along the river especially near the falls.

This trail was wonderful and clearly marked. We were notified of the orange clothing requirement a mile into the trail.

The trail was very pretty but swarming with bugs because of the water. So much so that you are practically tripping over roots and rocks waving bugs away from your face. It was also very hard to find. Maybe early August is not the best time of year for this particular trail.
