Great trail- we parked at the inn and started/ended our loop there. Orange out and white back. Very cool 5 mi hike- it’s easy to get off on a side trail, but you can’t really get lost

Beautiful view in Autumn. And you can have a nice lunch at Valley Green Inn after walking.

We went on an extremely busy day (warm fall Saturday and a wedding on the premises) with both our dogs. After the main loop we were able to go on some of the back trails and happily have our space. There are a lot of different trails to walk, some harder than others but all pretty easy/moderate, and it’s beautiful here! Pups loved it, everyone was dog friendly.

Good walking trail. Kid friendly sights and stops along the way. Great for pups!

Kept me on my toes in a very enjoyable sense! Scenic views, and all-inclusive sensational experience. The smells, sights, sounds and feels were astounding for being within a metropolitan area. It was like walking through a wardrobe and being instantly amid an air that tasted of crisp freedom!

It was a nice trail, it was our first time hiking there

Beautiful trail! Will go explore it again!

Great trail along the river. We saw a few mountain bikers and many dogs off leash. Plenty of benches along the river to stop for a meal. We did find trash along the river that was disappointing (condom wrappers, drug baggies), but once you rose in elevation trash became sparse. Even when we got rained on we still saw a few hikers on trail. Coming across the Lenape Indian statue was pretty cool.

I hiked this trail for the first time yesterday with two friends. Moderate trail with lots of shade and nice views. Bathrooms are scarce and parking is not easy to find. We stopped at Rittenhouse Town for a history lesson. Our total hike was 10 miles. Highly Recommend.

Scenic, challenging, beautiful. Best to arrive early to get parking and avoid the crowds and heat (during summer months). Completed 8 miles with my 10 year old son. Awesome to have such a hidden gem right inside Philadelphia.

Was first time on a hike...was a lot of fun and the trail was wooded and well marked. Nice to see water falls and we really enjoyed the yellow trail. Was moderate hills and rocky paths. Some nice historical parts along the way as well.

Overall pretty easy with a few steep elevation changes that put it to the moderate level. Actually started running for stretches in some parts as it was so flat. Trails are well marked but the same trail tends to open in multiple directions several times on the trip making it a bit confusing. Watch out for bikers- trails are narrow and winding in some spots so it is tough to see one another coming. You can very easily make your own variations on this trail that would take you about the same distance. Only think I would avoid next time is the part where it takes you out to Summit Ave and you have to walk on the side of the road for about 1/3 of a mile. Still blows my mind that a hike like this is in Philly.

What a fun trail! The orange trail near the river can get a little narrow and often wet, so you have to move through with caution. Also the last bit of this loop on the white trail contains almost the entirety of the elevation that it entails as well, so be prepared for that. Besides that, this was a good trail to tackle on as a day hike. 95% of the trail is covered by trees as well so the intense heat isn’t a threat. Watch for the mosquitoes too! Will definitely go back on another dry day!

Beautiful hike - nice trails with waterfalls, streams, historical sites. Very shaded from the summer sun. Moderately difficult

Flowing water, covered bridges, uncovered bridges, lots of up and down hills, small waterfalls--what's not to like! Access to multiple trails so you can control how easy/hard and can always go down to Forbidden Drive for nice easy stroll if you've had enough of trails. Not always super well marked, but hard to get truly lost. Recommend especially if in Philly or nearby.

awesome stuff to see i feel it could be marked better st the forks seems like several trails intertwine , had an awesome time

Nice moderately difficult trail. Nice things to see and well marked. We will be going again!

Lovely walk and sights!

Great trail. Love the variety that this trail offers. Lots of uphill and downhill... I hike this trail on a regular basis with my pup.. And only issue is parking. I love this trail!

We added on for a 6.7 mike 3 hour hike on a nice January day. We crossed the creek at Belles Mills and wound our way on the other side of the creek. So close to Philly and lovely gorge hiking. I would give 4 because at times you hike near roads and houses. Well marked yellow signs help keep you in track.

Great day for a hike. Good views, nice to be by the water.

A very nice area to hike, my dog and I had a good time. Trails are wide enough for two people to walk next to each other with room to spare, except for a couple of spots that were a little tight. The hiking trails had several rocky areas that were a little slippery due to the rain earlier in the morning.
Parking is questionable and very limited. I'd like to go back again soon. Take the side trails if you are looking for an actual hike if not the main path is crushed gravel and very wide.

Beautiful trails.

A nice route. Just one big hill right at that the beginning. Lots of interesting things to see throughout this hike. Watch out for mountain bikers. They were all very pleasant, but there sure were a lot of them!

Really enjoyable hike. Not overly difficult except for the few hills. It's pretty up hill, flat for awhile, down hill, and then repeat. Nice varied environment

Look out for mountain bikers!!

Pretty good spot. On the one side of the creek it's all trails, the other side is an unpaved road. There were a lot of people on the road side, and it was very easy. Trail side is more of a challenge. Both sides have cool stuff to see and since the area is basically surrounded by towns and burbs, there is some really interesting old architecture. If you enter via Seminole Rd. be prepared for a steep hill on the way out.

We've done this one a few times. Nice wooded trail, not a ton of scenic views but still enjoyable. Helps that it's close to home :)

We had a great time! Gone a few times. Best if you can go midweek as the weekends brings in quite a few people. Well cared for, clean, much to see!
