This trail is part of the Bowman Wildflower Preserve for which there is an admission (only $6 for an adult but I was not expecting it). I followed the trail map on here up to bowmans tower and wasn't able to find the rest of the trail that's supposed to loop back around so came back down the way I went up. Great views and a good workout. Would do it again.
While visiting relatives outside of Trenton, we have had the opportunity on a few occasions to explore this section of the Delaware River...both the New Jersey and Bucks County PA sides. The area's history adds to the nice experience.
the bike/walk path between the crossing park and lambertville is a great way to spend the day ..the path is gravel, level and easy to navigate. there are many scenic spots along the delaware river to enjoy and take a break. i advise taking the trip from washington crossing park all the way thru to Stockton...theres a lot to see and enjoy ...and if your really up for a trip go even further to Frenchtown...a beautiful way to spend the day or weekend.....the trip to Frenchtown is about 35 miles so be prepared
