Gorgeous views, well marked trails. Be sure your horse is road safe as there’s a few crossings, as well as a few places you’ll need to cross the water. A few very steep trails - definitely not the place for a horse that’s not sure-footed! But otherwise lovely.

Fantastic trail with some amazing views! Well groomed trails, great for barefoot horses, but has some pretty steep inclines. I can’t wait to go in the fall!

Very dangerous for mountain biking, must have experience and proper gear. Was an amazing experience

We did the trail loop backwards by mistake-- if you see one red post if you look across the path there is another. Looking at the building at the end of the path, the counting up mileage is to the right (beginning of trail) and the left marker is the end (mileage counts down). We took the red trail, to the orange and yellow back to the red--which was said to be 8.9 miles and came out to be more like 10.5miles from my garmin watch (the last 1.5 miles was rough). The extra mileage would be fine except it's a lot of going up and back down, so if you have bad ankles and knees wear appropriate gear. I hike often but was mentally not prepared from reviews to go for this hike. There is limited shade (aka almost none) it was 86 without a cloud in the sky and was pretty toasty/hot-dress appropriately, bring sunscreen, snacks and tons water (my 3L pack got me just to the end). The views were nice, tons of birds singing, wild flowers and we got to see a fawn still with all its spots. Mountain bikers also use this trail and we almost got taken out by them zooming down one of the steep soon to be ups for us. We only heard the spokes on the wheels from the first biker to get off the trail-they had some speed and it definitely wouldn't have ended well.

Had a fantastic hike with my younger brother just under 5 miles. We turned left at the start of the border trail and then continued on until we reached the covered bridge trail. We followed that trail until we got to the teal trail and took that back to where we started. It was differently an intense hike!! I workout 4-5 times a week and I was so thrilled to have my younger brother there to push me those last 15 mins or so. Especially when we hiked mostly uphill the last mile and it was hot!! We both took ticks off our necks almost immediately upon noticing them on our hike. It would have been easier if we took a break but we went straight through. It was beautiful. Truly breathtaking views!!

This was an absolute perfect hike. Not to easy and definitely not to hard. Wildlife, spectacular views and not crowded. The app says no dogs allowed but that needs to be corrected.....dogs are definitely allowed here

Awesome views and scenarios. I completed the blue line and is short and easy. American bison and wildlife make a great experience.

Awesome hike. It had an excellent variety of grades and stunning scenery. Some parts were challenging, and the late spring heat during the day didn’t make it any easier. During the full 4 hours of the hike I didn’t see any other hikers. This is a very quiet trail. My only downside is around mile marker 6.5/7, the trail can become a muddy mess making it nearly impossible to continue without boots or sacrificing your shoes. This lasted for roughly 100 meters of just nasty mud. Other than that, fantastic!

Spent today completing the entire border trail. Worked clockwise, from mile 9. It is May and the trees are still sparse, but so much of the trail is unshaded, so be prepared with sunscreen. And, because of this, it's likely a very hot trek in the summer. Several climbs were quite steep, but afforded stunning views.

It struck me how well the trail was marked. I never once had a problem following the red blazes until about a mile from my car. Just after the bison, it was hard to tell where the trail continued. Even after I determined that, it was difficult to see the exact path to follow. There is a bit of construction in the area, so that's probably the reason. Just follow your map or GPS carefully in this area.

Spent my late teenage years here. Awesome trail, just dont veer too much off the trail, there are a butt ton of ticks in some places, especially in the Kidspeace area.

This is a great trail...absolutely stunning views. Because of the elevation changes I would rate this trail intermediate instead of moderate if you do the entire loop. We did it with snow on the ground which made it more challenging. Overall a nice hike.

This is a wonderful trail with various habitats! The trail rises and falls through hilltop meadows with fantastic views, meanders along wooded creeks and skirts around rolling forest. The steep climbs are hard but rewarding with the views you get of the Lehigh Valley. The north ridge is more secluded and offers a chance to be alone on the trail. Pack some snacks and have lunch at the new bridge that crosses Jordan Creek on the north section! Trexler Border Trail is a fanatic place to lay down some miles and see the beauties of Lehigh!

Great app

Enjoyed an easy hike with my two granddaughters and sister.

2.5 miles hiking solo today! Solitude and spectacular nature are the best!❤️

Had a great 3 miles hiking with my sister. We saw a cute fox and along the trail we spotted cows and bisons (they must belong to the zoo). Totally enjoyed it!

Some very steep slopes. Beautiful scenery. Some signage not very well placed, easy to miss green trail if not paying attention.

first time here with my wife and was a great intermediate trail. truth is we're roughly beginners and I did cherry pick the route but it still couldn't have been more perfect!

Good mix of trail. easy to moderate for kids. the jumps and obstacles make it fun for kids. good trails and I am going again

My 9 lbs dog and I are taking portions of the trail several times a week. Since I am familiar with the area I find places to park. the entire area is drop dead gorgeous. water, meadows, light flooded forest...we 've run into all kinds of wildlife even fox and one bear (a shy one). worth a trip.

This is an outstanding loop to run/hike. I've been running here for years, and enjoy the full loop in a counter clockwise direction. For anyone interested in a longer hike or run, out-n-back runs in a clockwise direction are great. The hills are just so different in each direction.

It was quite difficult but I like a challenge. Some of the steep uphill climbs forced me to walk but for the most part it was a great single track run.

Scenic long well maintained trail

Took us 3 hours 15 minutes on a Friday afternoon to do the 9 mile border trail. Did not see a soul (other than deer). Beautiful scenery and quite peaceful. Well marked. Some construction ongoing for trail improvements, but did not interfere with hike. Be prepared to go up and down lots of hills. Bathroom at parking lot lookout was very clean. Overall, 5 stars for sure!

Loved this trail. We started at gate 21 and hiked roughly ten miles around the red Trexler Border Trail. There were some phenomenal views, and it was a great leg workout.

I really enjoyed this trail. We hiked the red one. It was difficult at times but had awesome views. It was very well labeled and really easy to follow. Out total hike was about 9 miles!
