enjoyed some great views from the cliffs and brought a hammock with me and enjoyed some relaxing time by the river.

Scenic views to be sure, but for a state park it is terribly marked. Every quarter mile you may or may not find a yellow sash. Granted, with falling leaves trails are harder to recognize, but painted sashes are practically non-existent in this park.

If you just want a quick walk to a beautiful view, park at the Tory Road lot and walk straight down to the overlook. But if, like many, you want to do the loop: good luck.

Nice hike. Started walking through camping area to trailhead, but then trail opened up and view at the cliffs was great. Got to see rock climbing class and kayakers. Creek was full of white water, impressive from above and at water level. The climb at the midway point and at the end of the loop were a good work out.

It was a nice trail. Easy at first, a little boring walking through campsites to get to trailhead, but the view from the top of the cliffs was great and the climb at the midway point made for good workout. Enjoyed watching rock climbing class and several kayakers. Abundant rains caused white water rapids that were impressive.

Nice little hike. Trails aren’t well marked though with many paths splitting off, so be advised.

A lot of social trails in the area makes staying on the 'correct' path a little tricky. But as long as you know where the creek is, you're fine. Trail does go down to the creek. Lots of trees means that you don't get big sweeping views down to the creek all the way long. Probably nicer in fall with some colors.

We had a great time today on this hike. We did High Cliffs and added the loop on the other side of Stover Park Rd, for a total of about 6.2 miles. The extra loop allowed us to descend to the creek, where we took a rest and cooled off with a wade. All in all, the shade was appreciated, the views were really nice, the trail easy to follow, and we even got to see some rock climbers at work. Great morning.

Very scenic and easy but poorly marked. We walked in circles trying to find our way on multiple occasions.

Great walk. Nice views. The area is so lush that it hides a lot of great views. I enjoyed hearing running water the entire loop.

Beautiful place to visit. Easy to navigate unless you go off trail.

Good trail and easy to access. We went on one of the first warm weekends of the year and the parking lot was packed. Be ready to have lots of company on the trails. It was heavily used by mountain bikers and people with pups. (We had our two pups leashed and all but one dog we passed was also leashed.) We also had our two year old with us and she was able to hike with us (with assistance of course.)

There are several trails and you can loose your way pretty easily. But if you follow the river you will find your way back eventually. Very pretty. A lot of foot/bike traffic.

Nice loop trail with views. You can get down to the river and away from weekend crowds. Overall nice hike but not secluded.

Wear hiking shoes, it’s rocky in many places. Beautiful lookouts over the river in the first 10 minutes of the hike. Staying left on the trail and taking it clockwise will take you along the high portion of the trail first and on the way back, following the loop, takes you lower along the river.

Beautiful trail! Definitely would say this was moderate NOT easy. A large portion of the trail is unmarked and very rocky with lots of tree roots, etc. I stupidly started at the end of the trail and worked my way to the beginning. A large portion of it was uphill and there was parts that were a little strenuous. My dog had a blast but I wouldn’t recommend bringing small children unless your only looking at the overlook. If I brought my kid, they’d be complaining that their legs hurt the whole time.

Definitely a nice walk through the woods along a nice overlook. The trail is definitely easy. It is clearly marked and the path is clear of rocks. I went with a 7 year old and a couple other people who are NOT hikers and they did just fine! This is a family friendly trail and has some spectacular views. I will definitely be visiting here again.

Great trail with great views.
But, a bit more challenging than the Easy rating it has here with a decent amount of elevation changes, rocks and roots.
Would be 5 stars if the trail wasn't so poorly marked. A ranger with a can of spray paint could make this a great hike!

For me the hike was more on paths than moderate singlerack wood lies, nice and relaxing though.
There are a few more tehnical trails I found along the river
