A good 13.9 mile woodland hike, with the exception of a connector road at just before mile 61. I was a bit confused, stepping on to the road, but turn left/northward and keep an eye out for yellow markers on poles, and some occasional yellow blazes on trees. Guessing that's private property on both sides of the road. At the end of about a mile, the road, bears left just after Seven Springs Natural Gas Supply. The trail will resume, straight ahead behind some gas equipment, when the road bears left to a gate.

Completely loved this trail. Live at some distance, but would love to see when leaves are down. Magical in places.

Memorial Day, 2017...Mile 70-65 in and out...~10 miles + trail down to shelter. Nice hike, elevation is gradual but consistent. 6 hours at a steady but leisurely pace with a couple stops. Very little foot traffic...only saw three groups of hikers all day. Highly recommended.

Out trip was a northward venture from the Hidden Valley Ski Area to the Route 30 parking area, over 3 days/2 nights. We were fortunate to have about 18 inches of snow, so we broke out the snowshoes - so much fun! We also got to put some miles on our new Camp crampons. The shelter areas were great, although my wife and I opted to tent camp near the shelters, after hearing about the mice. In fact, our shelter-bound companions ended up with some chewed up gear, and sleeping bag invasions by the small creatures. The 15 mile section that we did was very mild, and we covered ground fast. I was somewhat disappointed in the vistas - the summit and surrounding areas were not pronounced enough to offer any out-of-the-ordinary views.

All in all a good hike for a big group of mixed skill/fitness levels.
